Does anyone have any recommendations as to what app I could use to stream my music from my computer on my ipod? I heard about Simplify Music 2 but they actually pulled it from the app store the day I tried to buy it. I bought Air Video which I thought would play music too but it only does videos. (it does that very well, I might add). I haven't found a Simplify Music alternative.

ooTunes is a perfect replacement. But you have to buy the PC/Mac server app for 20 Dollars.

A lot of Simplify Media and ORB users have moved over to Subsonic, and never looked back.

The Subsonic streaming server is available for Windows, Mac and Linux, and is packed with features (like podcast subcription, jukebox mode, last.fm integration, tag editing, transcoding). In addition to the clean and fast web interface, there are iPhone, Android and AIR apps available.

Check out the screenshots, videos and demos on http://subsonic.org

I've been using Orb for a while, and I've had no issues with it. It streams music fine even over EDGE, and video works works smoothly over 3G.

I started using Kalidity. It has really good support for iOS devices and you don't have to download an app. http://www.kalidity.com

I always thought Orb was so clunky. It's terrible for making playlists, and it makes you launch the audio in some other player.
