OMG I got in the 50,000's! I felt like the difficulty didn't ramp up nearly as quickly, it might have been a glitch, or maybe I've just gotten better. The dole shooting ships came in at around 40,000.
WOW! Excellent work! I think I need you in my next beta There is a fifth variety of ship with three guns, did you encounter him in your epic 50k journey? I never got to him except for when I tested him outside of the regular game progression. Anyway, I guess I have to get to 60k now ...which will be extra challenging, actually, because the current build of the game is a little bit harder in the upper levels (more simultaneous ships)... heheh.
The original bonus contest is over, but I added a second bonus: a $10 gift card for whoever has the top score at the end of the contest (next Wednesday @ noon).
Well, I doubt I'll have the patience to really surpass 50k, but even if I do, I will award the gift card to my triumphant second placer
I don't think I encountered a three shot, though I was playing so frantically I probably didn't notice. My trick is to not get hurt at all during earlier stages so you have a huge asteroid during the times when it gets harder.

Great game, and I'll try to beat your record for that bonus gift card, haha, I don't think I'll make it though. By the way, could you just post what your score is so I can work on beating it? I don't have wifi right now, so I have no idea how close I am.
