before it will ask you again "are you sure u want to buy this?" after you input your password for any apps that needs money. Free apps will download right away. so when you got that confirmation windows, you knew that it is gonna cost money. but now nothing pops out, they just download right away you input the password. Free or paid.
There is no password prompt if your session hasn't expired. Are you sure you didn't double-tap the price/buy-now button?
it is not the password part. it is the part after u input the password. they will ask again for you information. btw i am using itunes on computer, not directly on the iphone.
It's nice to know that I'm not the only person having this problem. The thing is, whenever anyone asks about it on a forum, most replies gravitate towards entering the password. No one seems to know about the whole "are you sure you want to buy this" question. Like many have expressed, I really hope this is just a glitch and that it will get fixed soon. The reason I like getting the message is because sometimes iTunes will say that a game is free, but because it's in "price switch" mode it has gone back to costing money again. If the "are you sure" message is gone, you could accidentally purchase these games and not realize it until it deducts the money. That would be a shame. Hopefully someone will figure out what's going on.
I visited the Genius Bar at Apple today with my MacBook Air with iTunes 10.1.1 about this issue. I explained that I hadn't unchecked the "do not show again" and we went through deleting all of my preferences and "resetting up" my preferences in iTunes. The outcome was still the same. The Genius looked at his machine, too, and found that he had the same issue. He believes the issue is because Apple took this functionality out of the current release of iTunes that I had installed. He didn't know if Apple was going to put it back in with the next release. Hopefully they will if enough people apply for refunds.
It's always nice when big companies like Apple or Microsoft break / remove actual useful features in their products. I'm personally not going to hold my breath about seeing this one again.
Well after contacting Apple support Express Lane yesterday, I received an email, telling me to log into my account and reset all warnings for buying and downloading. I replied that I had already tried that yesterday, as did their Genius guy. I tried today resetting it...again...tested it and now the confirmation works correctly again. I think it was a bug on their end.
I actually noticed that it had started working again yesterday as well. I didn't even have to go in and reset my warnings. I guess I have to take back some of the nasty things I've said about Apple
