Never play MH before so the quick weapons are my fav, sns or db, tap and roll that's it any tips for other weapon for ppl never played MH before
Anyone know where to find a list of scheduled events and times? The list and all notices are not working. I am wondering if there was an update that I may have missed?
Before you learn the ways of the charged strikes, you must first learn the art of animation cancelling. LOL Seriously though. Try running towards a target, tap the attack button once, then RIGHT WHEN THE ATTACK HITS, ROLL. That's probably the single most damaging non-special hit in the entire game. If you know how to abuse how safe the cancelling is, then learn the big windows to use the charged attacks. Take note, you cant roll-cancel a charged attack until the attack animation finishes... But you can abuse the animation cancel with your normal strikes.
if you noticed the weapons I suggested for single player, most if not all of them have the ability to block. Almost all of the attack animations can be cancelled into a block and from block, you can go into attack almost straight away. Animation cancel is your best bet to clear this game.
Progression is terrible in this game. I can't complete island 2 because of the extra hard final areas, going farther into island 3 is taking forever, and I have absolutely no chance of getting any more life crystals to upgrade weapons for who knows how many more days. Also, six basic equipment quests that have 100 equipment each (not an exaggeration)...that makes it super easy to get repeats for the minor tempered upgrades. Man I really hope they change this a lot before actual release.
The game's only been out a little over a week and someone already hit HR128, and our own Melf here was HR100 last i checked, so i dont think progression is that bad considering this game is an MH title (grind and repetition has always been a staple of the series) and it has a no-stamina-system zero price tag. Im personally HR54, but i have way higher power level than most in that HR level because i focused on farming materials and event boss monsters. The stages where im at are actually pretty easy now since i power-levelled through grinding. I dont think progression is THAT bad considering those things, but yes, it is a grind-heavy game.
Damn it, so much to learn, GS really hard to learn, lol thanks for great info, guys! EDIT: one hand can't do block + following by charge easily, must do in 2 hands NOW
HR 106 and slowly rising B) MH is a grind whether you like it or not. It should have been expected that you would have to grind for stuff in this game.
after switch to GS with lot of practice, finally get thru it, HR50 -> HR 54 I think i had more to learn in the coming days....
