I'm a big fan of the Bitmap Brothers and Speedball 2 Brutal Deluxe. I can't wait to see if they remake Gods. This is my top pick for the day.

Has this actually been built by the original 'Bitmap Brothers' or is this just licensed? I'm hoping the game-writing gods have built this - because back in the day, everything they did was awesome. I'd LOVE to see Magic Pockets and GODS ported to IOS! Jamie.
I'm going to have to buy some credit just for this one game if it's even a patch on the old Amiga version though I won't regret it. Speedball 2 was in my opinion the best game on the system although between me and friends we broke a lot of joysticks playing it. I'm really hoping this is a good version even though I have my doubts about the touchscreen.
Yes, actually, quite a bit, but in a sci-fi setting. Less violent, but still with violence aplenty, and a bit faster.
I never understood the appeal of this game. Then again I also thought the Bitmaps were wildly overrated. I really enjoyed "Gods" and played through it a number of times, but everything else of theirs just struck me as being very mechanical and soulless. This iDevice version strikes me as being puzzlingly overpriced. Particularly without online play. Free with an in-game unlock AND multiplayer was the way to go with this I think, as there are only so many old gamers out there who'll pay the premium for nostalgic value, and only so many of THOSE who have forgotten about the appeal curve of this as a single player game.
Anyone know when will this be re-released again?? Its now 12am in NZ and i cant see any sign of it...
Love the original myself but I'm not 100% sure about this with touchscreen controls and the screenshots actually look a lot less detailed and more cartoon like to me than the old Amiga version. As much as I'm tempted to buy this one as soon as it hits I'm not going to I want to see some reviews and video of it in action beforehand.
