I don't like tap to move games (hardly ever) and i knew what was coming here...yep, to much tapping for me. Besides my own problem, i consider everything else as top notch in this little beauty. No mami and no iap will take you by the hand, just your own skills.
This is a nice surprise this week. It's taking my brain a bit to get used to the move away from the walls tapping while still killing what is coming at me, but it's fun! I was thinking a swipe to move like Bleeding Ede and Dark Slash might work for this, but I suppose the one touch shooting is what makes the game.
I'm the best player in the world, after exact-psience, for the first stage! Ok there's only thirteen players in the world... It's very funny and easy to play. And i like the art, colors are beatiful. Thanks to the devs.
Definitely my pick of the week. It didn't take me long to get used to movement, and it works really well. Like a mix between Tilt To Live and Gauntlet.
I've had a few moments where I feel like the beautiful, ingenious game is a bit light in content, however, I always feel that way when I'm loving a game; I can never have too much of a good thing Seriously though this game is an absolute MUST for a buck. And yes, I'd love to see more arenas added later, even as iaps. I don't know if it would work but maybe adding walls/spawn points within the arenas might be an idea down the road... 2nd on the amazon level and kind of lost my focus on the other levels. So at first I didn't think I'd like this game as it didn't really sound like my type of game. But after playing for a bit I actually really like how tactical it makes the game with shooting also moving you and the rebounding off the sides, gets pretty tricky when they come from all over! I do wish there were more arenas and power ups, but those in updates would be awesome. I kind of wished maybe there were weapon choices and upgrades but I guess it would kind of be OP and the power up timers work I guess. Overall I'd recommend it for it's price and no IAP, it isn't deep but if you like beating scores or trying to have some fun it's more tactical than some shooters similar to this I've played.
Dunno why game ccenter isnt updating for me, like my score didnt upload. I have 2364 for Spider's Nest, but only showed my prvious score of 1684 in GC. Also, my achievement for killing the Spider Queen didnt unlock. I hope this gets sorted out soon, but so far all i have for the game itself are praises. One of the best games i played this year.
Your score does still show the 1684 for me too, 2364 is pretty awesome. Do the levels differ much? I mainly only tried the amazon I only give the spiders and dead place one go so didn't get that much of a look yet at the troops.
Holy sh*t, you're back! And I have no idea, it runs like butter on the 5S. Most likely someone just didn't like it, with the shoot to move controls and such
Here's my thoughts that I posted on the AppStore while getting ready for work today: The word "unique" gets tossed around the gaming industry pretty loosely sometimes. This game is unique though, no doubt. Once you get the hang of the shooting mechanics in Spooklands you'll be hooked and you'll be coming back for more punishment for sure. The game is a pure, arcade high-score chaser with some unlockable arenas and power-ups. The graphics are great too. This one is a surprise hit for me as I didn't expect anything nearly this awesome from a developer whose only other game on the AppStore is a "Flappy-like" so..I must say fantastic job Luderia! You know it's simply awesome when I itch for more of everything in this game, more arenas, more weapons/power-ups etc. Spend the 99 pennies, the game is well worth it and I'd love to see what the devs add here or come up with next! Richard
Yes, well deserved. Hopefully some of you who are enjoying this as much as I am will help the developers and leave a review on iTunes, as it is now there's a couple of positive reviews and several "it crashes" reviews. I hate to see a fun game like this marred by a few owners of 5 year old devices.
Super well deserved 4.5! The reviews on the AppStore have been ridiculous though, I think it's averaging a 3/5. Shows how few people know a good product one they have it in their hands.
Anyway this will be updated to support iPod 4? I bought this game but it don't work! Said it should but it don't! Looks amazing though and I would love to play it. Gosh I really need an upgrade.... It's getting old asking if games run on this dumb old thing....
Can I view my own high score(s) earned on or offline, while I'm offline? (Sad that Game Center makes me ask this because it doesn't. # ) And will they later sync to Game Center?
Ok, yes you can view them offline, however I'm not completely sure that they will later synch. When GC had it's issues for a few weeks I made some pretty damn respectable high score that don't now show as my GC high scores, but I can't be sure if it's on the games end or GameCenters end.
