When the hell am I gonna learn to stop buying things the instant they're released? I don't mind the price that I paid, I feel that the game is worth more than I paid for it. This is the first game I've played this year that I feel will be in the reckoning for my best games of 2013 come the end of the year. I just wish the devs were more forthcoming with their plans for the sale, or whatever. Anyway, hopefully more people will now discover this great game. Way to thank your early supporters, by shoving a middle finger in our faces and rewarding those with less faith in your game who didn't it right away. After so long you really get a sence of what games are destined to be free and which ones worthy of paying full price for no matter the cost. $1,000 dollars says the devs dissapear from this forum and don't justify the price drop... And I bet the $1,000 dollar reward is purely speculative and they made that as a gamble in the hopes that alone gets them over $1,000 dollars to make up for the short fall while at the same time not having it on hand before making the promise. Wowzers. Guess lesson learned is wait til day 4 to get it for a buck, and a month to get it free like Chillingo games. Sad what they are doing to ios gaming. Jazzpha Well-Known Member Apr 26, 2012 776 16 18 #18 Jazzpha, Feb 23, 2013 In general, I only buy games early on after their release if it's from a dev I want to support (Year Walk and West Legends being the most recent examples, and Ridiculous Fishing when it comes out in March). Otherwise, I play the games in my backlog for a while until there's a sale. Helps to keep me from impulse-buying every interesting game in sight, and then only having the time to actually play a very small percentage of them. visionwebs Well-Known Member Jan 24, 2012 1,144 0 0 #19 visionwebs, Feb 23, 2013 Yeah exactly, the app store still has hope in games like heroes and castles and the like. lena Well-Known Member Mar 26, 2011 1,049 2 36 #20 lena, Feb 23, 2013 Well, this game doesn't have any IAP, so at least it wasn't a premeditated sale with the hopes of selling lots of IAP. I'm still happy to have supported indie devs who make full games without virtual currency crap (even if this particular game may not be my favorite genre after all) and I'm mostly sad that the fact that this went on sale so quickly means that it really is super hard for new developers to make a living with premium games. they tried to get as many people to buy their game for $3 because of there $1000 contest (many people only bought the game because of the contest), that's my guess.
