I have both a Mac (with Boot camp running XP 32-bit) and PC running Windows 7 64-bit along with a virtualized Windows XP (32-bit) via 7's optional "XP Mode" (which is really just Virtual Machine pre-packaged with XP), so I'm good to go any way you slice it. And I'd love a level editor. The game definitely needs more content (there's never enough!) and crowdsourcing would be a great way to get it.
Let's not start raising expectations too high here. If you read the original post, the emphasis is that we are now working on the PC version of Dismount, and the level editor is for that game. However, because of a common sourcecode base, the levels created with the editor will be compatible with the iPhone version if certain budgets are respected. These levels are something we look forward to seeing, and there is a chance we will integrate community-generated levels into possible future updates of Stair Dismount on iPhone. DLC in general is not a cash-cow, and Stair Dismount on the iPhone is currently nowhere near even making back its development costs, much less being profitable. This is the reality that everyone must come to grips with: we're proud of our game, it won't be abandoned and small updates can be expected in the future, but there will not be huge technical upgrades. The next steps for us are developing the much-delayed PC version (Stair Dismount 2), giving the level creation tools to the entire Dismount community and seeing what happens then. Hopefully there's a huge explosion of community-created Dismount levels and a sudden rocket-like rise up the sales charts Beyond that it's too soon to say anything - if things take off, we can afford to make larger updates, but if the game fails to generate sufficient interest, we must concentrate on developing our next game(s).
I was just going to make a 3d model of my city from satellite data and plug it in .. you mean the iPhone version won't handle that?
Stair Dismount level editing tools have now been released. As mentioned above, these require a PC, and the instruction FAQ is still quite a skeleton which will be improved in the days ahead. I have a Mac Oh, wait, actually I mean: I have a Mac Sucks the editor isn't for Mac, cause I probably will never be using a PC in the foreseeable future. But if any of the user levels happen to come down the pipe and make it into my little iPhone version, I guess that'll have to do.

No Mac version? for iPhone and iPod touch app which are very Apple in every way? No way... ah well, it's still a great news! At least I can still download what people create and it adds so much replayability to the game. Thanks SecretExit!
It's the classical burden of some choices which have been made before we even knew we'd some day release Stair Dismount for iPhone. The said editor we're using is not great, but it still saved us a lot of time not having to made one ourselves from scratch.
I just got a new 3GS so I have 3.1.2 and got it... It's really fun, but there are some really random freezes.

Does Open Feint affect performance? Because since the latest update the game's framerate has been rather choppy.
When the game is refreshing high scores in the background, it's possible that this may have some effect in the gameplay. This isn't a constant draw on system resources though, so if you're seeing persistent choppiness it's unlikely that OF is the reason. There have been no changes under the hood as far as performance is concerned, so it's difficult to determine what the issue may be. One default question is "Have you restarted your device and did it make a difference?"
@Frand: The problem is not restarting my device. On the same playing condition (normal mode, airplane mode, just restarted, etc), the game just feels choppier compared to before. Is there anyway to turn off and completely disable OF? I could care less about highscores when the game itself becomes not smooth anymore because of it.
It's unlikely that OF is the culprit if you're seeing a constant drop of performance even in airplane mode. Which device do you have?
