Bizarre. Utterly bizarre how information regarding the release of KOTOR has leaked out without any indication that this product was in the works. Compare and contrast with the development of Baldur's Gate. Attention is - quite rightly - focused on the plethora of Games Workshop products hitting iOS. You would think a SW product would be hyped to the rafters (especially given how the license is actually treated i.e. suck as much money from people's pockets until you hit lint), yet this has come straight from nowhere with little official information.
Statement: I still have some doubt that it was just too good to be true. Given the IGN's credibility, and they actually play it, "There is still hope." Statement: Great games that pop up from nowhere is very rare these days, it is not impossible though. As long as this is not screwed up like BG:EE did initially, I think I can enjoy meeting HK-47 once more. Projection: A fully restored KoToR2 would be very welcomed.
You know IGN reviewed it right? 8.8/10. It's releasing tonight. Apparently it feels great on the iPad but movement is a little off
Reading through that neogaf thread, there's some speculation the "all-time great classic port" is Phoenix Wright. :/ I've got my fingers crossed that it's really KOTOR. Driving me nuts!
Statement: just to let you know that Pocket Tactics quotes IGN as well -- http://pockettactics.com/2013/05/30/thats-no-moon-knights-of-the-old-republic-for-ipad-really-exists/ Remarks: and also quote "IGN has historically assigned good review scores to any game that doesnt melt in your hands". Fingers crossed.
My poor wallet. If this actually does release tonight, my iPad will have detracted more time from my weekend than ever before. With Warhammer, Phoenix Wright and now this, productivity will be at an all-time low.
So this is accually coming out tonight? I need something to tide me over until animal crossing: new leaf. Until this, it was going to be kingdom rush: frontiers. I still want that game, but I only have a $10 iTunes gc. Anybody got a guess on the price of this and KR:F??
Statement: As long as this is a real deal I do not really care when it comes out -- since I am still working on Eclipse and Agricola is delayed, I don't mind waiting a bit longer.
Any word on what iPads it will work on? If this comes out, instabuy. Price doesn't matter for me on this one.
Addition: Pocket Gamer just joins in quoting IGN: http://www.pocketgamer.co.uk/r/iPad/Star+Wars%3A+Knights+of+the+Old+Republic/news.asp?c=51239 Estimation: if you ask, I think the app will cost US$9.99, give or take US$9.00.
According to UK IGN tweet, it should go live at 5pm, no pricing details available. click me for UK IGN Tweet
It's a thing. Soo excited!! IGN review: http://m.ign.com/articles/2013/05/30/star-wars-knights-of-the-old-republic-ipad-review (mobile version)
So that's 5 pm UK Time??Probably a world wide release like what rovio did before..Well I'm hoping atleast..
I'm really looking forward to this. I have never played this game on PC or XBOX, but I'm definitely getting this for the iPad.
Hmmm so if its 5pm UK time that means a couple hours right. It's almost midnight here sooo....nah I'll just grab it tomorrow. So excited. This game is super class
I've been looking everywhere for some hint of when it releases but nothing so far. I haven't been this excited for an iOS game in a long while.
Around $28? No way it'd be that high. I'm guessing $10, or they'll go the Rockstar route and price it at $5. Either way, it's mine
