It also tells you how many times you've voted and how many you need until the next card in the voting popup. Clicking on Inventory under your name in the menu should take you directly to your most recent cards. This is presuming you're not using the mobile app which is pretty pants, you're better off doing that sort of thing through the website or the actual desktop app.

You can also find cards easy by clicking your name, then Badges. It defaults to "In Progress" (i.e. recent) but I find "Alphabetical" better.

Though... I mostly just go there to see if cards have been added to a game so I can play/idle it long enough to get the cards to sell. ;)

When the cards were new I traded enough to get a few levels in FTL, but the emoticons/etc have all been disappointing so I gave up and have been selling the cards ever since. I almost considered collecting Kinetic Void as I drew 5 unique cards and the badges look cool, but ended up selling them. :D

So far I've bought only 2 games, and have earned $8.13 on top of that from cards. And I've got a good handful of games yet to get cards from (mostly big games I got in bundles and never bothered to install...)

Have I put everybody to sleep yet? Hoping we see DLC Quest for $0.60 in the next round. Still waiting for 75% off F:NV complete, eyeing PacManCE DX+, wondering if any Railworks3 DLC will go better than 60% in a flash sale this time around...

Battleblock Theatre for £2.74 is an absolute steal, even better for others given Steam's conversion rates. Definitely recommend that, one of my favourite games of last year.

Yep. Just bought it. It's $3.74 in the US. THAT IS SO CHEAP! Also got skyrim and state of decay for $10. I sold a bunch of trading cards that I never use and got like $6 which isn't much but it can go a long way if your patient and thrifty. :)
The iOS version is so much better IMO, at least for me it is. The PC version has soooo much more content and you can see sooooo much more on the screen but the controls are bleh and you have to lay torches everywhere because the darkness is overwhelming at times.

Yep. That was my problem. I'm a level 5 and you have to be a level 8. Any idea on how you level up? I have a crapload of games (50 I think) and play them as much as I can.

Pretty much the only reliable way to level is to craft badges with sets of cards. The best thing to do (if you care) is to buy full sets of the Counter-Strike: Global Offensive cards for about 30c in total. You can buy 5 full sets which will level you five more times. Each Summer Adventure card sells for like 20c and you get one for each time you level so now is the best time to do it, if it interests you.

TBH, I much prefer selling them lol. Apparently I've made £90 from cards, it's mad!

Thank you. Two items off my list; if Fallen Enchantress wins the community vote I'm hopefully for a steeper DLC cut too.
The Steam level system is a fraud imo; I had the exact same issue during the Winter sale. You can get at least 200xp (two levels) from doing community stuff - go under your username and select "badges" then it should list "community tasks" to complete and if you do 21 of them, mostly simple like linking Facebook or commenting on any profile, then you should get to at least level 7. Crafting "badges" is the next way up (I just made level 8 myself yesterday)- good advice from PeteOzzy... Steam rigs it so you have to purchase cards to make badges and cannot seem to get them from play alone (aka annoying fraud you'd be better off avoiding).

Ultimately I'd discourage being too worried about Steam's absurd level/card tricks. Last year the cap for card drops was level 5 and I achieved it on the last day but the delay from level up to getting cards with too long to utilize them.

Ya....I just sold all my cards for $8. I don't understand it not do I want to invest the time. In other news, I just bought skyrim standard and then realized I wanted the legendary instead so I bought both. Haha. Womp womp.

If you like hack n slash games, Metal Gear Rising for just 10€ is a joke IMO.

As Undeadcow says, that Battleblock/Castle Crashers combination is insane. They're both huge highlights of the generation and well worht full price, everyone should get that.

As well as that, from today's sales, I'd recommend Nether - seems to be very good from what I've heard, though I can't play it myself. FTL, Rogue Legacy and Risk of Rain are pretty close to the cheapest they've been and are fantastic for hardcore roguelike/strategy fans.

Not much else I can see that's a must have cost-wise atm.

Lol, I voted for that one solely because I remember someone saying they wanted Strider. At least I know who that was now!

Im unsure about risk of rain, is it more focused on multiplayer? That said rogue legacy looks fantastic and i really like the idea of random genetics influencing the game. Picked up spelunky last night for a great price, pretty excited to play that.

Lousyhero, Rogue Legacy is great fun and i found it pretty difficult (sometimes really hard due to it's random nature)
