The bars in the bottom left when on a planet? If there's a number under it that means there's a monolith on the planet. Higher the number the closer you are to the monolith.
Hi guys. I'm currently including a bulletin board system with updated news, which will be available in each station. That should give more life to Stellar Horizon! This update should be submitted soon.
I've invested a lot of time to discover an ancient monolith, just to have the launch button disappear just after the "ancient monolith found" message appeared. These UI bugs are a real pain, specially since you can't save and quit to see if a reboot fixes it...
Just got to move away from the monolith, not sure how many moves, but the launch button does come back
Bugs Monolith launch button disappearing: When SNR gets above 95, the button disappears. Just move away until the SNR gets below 95 again. The button will come back. I started up after the update. The red line tracing your path through the systems is gone. Also, yesterday before the update my distance from start system seemed legit. Today after the update it is broken, it says 1056 light years. I like the two stage zoom in the navigation map. How about a third zoom even farther out? #
I think the distance from start may be wrong for games that have been started and saved BEFORE the update. Is it your case? For the red line tracing the path, i don't have the problem on my own game. I will try to investigate more. Concerning the navigation map, i agree : it would be nice to have a third zoom level. I put that on my todo list!
Marsaults, Hey! I absolutely love the game Stellar Horizon. Exploring space has been my dream since a child and this is perfect on iOS. However, I own an iPod 5th generation which runs apps well. When I play Stellar Horizon, it is very laggy and exploring planets is sluggish. It would be fantastic if you could make it so it ran better on slightly older devices like mine. If this is completed, the game will be amazing. Thank you Maursalts for your perpetual effort on this game and constant updates.
Yeah, the distance from start broke at the update. About the red line: How far back will it go? It seems to only show about 5-10 planets, is that about right? I was expecting it would show a trail back through all planets visited. Since the update I'm finding most if not all planets will have monoliths. Would it be a good idea to start over after the update?
It would solve the problem concerning the distance from start. Concerning the number of monoliths, it is true most of the planets have them. I consider making them rarer in the next update. Concerning the red line, it should be only limited by the planets which are present in the map view (a red line to a planet is not displayed if the planet is not visible in the map). I will check if it is true.
Monoliths will become very rare in the next update... Here is a screenshot of the new navigation map (in progress).
Great and double great. I think monoliths should be something rare, not like plantations in fields. Any news as to the disappearing UI buttons bug?
