Can we just not have drama on a thread? Please? The devs are actively updating this game and we have to trust a universal update will come. If not, you ave 45 days to request a refund.
I think Appletini's intent was to defend a developer you were saying something negative about. Having played the game on iPad (new) this morning, I have to say it looks just fine and plays great. I think this is one I'm going to really enjoy. It has a nice mix of strategy and tactics. Great theme. There are tough decisions with far-reaching ramifications every turn, but it isn't nearly as complex as some of the other worker placement games (a big plus in my opinion). I find I don't go back to the more complex games nearly as much, not because I can't grok them, I just prefer something a bit lighter.
Not exactly; I have no problem with people saying negative things about developers if they're true, but I've never been big on letting misinformation slide (negative or positive). That's all over and done with, though. Honestly, every time I consider firing up Puerto Rico I tend to turn to it's "little brother" San Juan instead as I prefer its flow in play, and there's no shame in people simply not finding Puerto Rico or Le Havre to their taste, regardless of how popular or highly-ranked the games are over on BGG. They are drier and more convoluted than a lot of other boardgames (iOS or otherwise), and it is entirely understandable that the enjoyment factor of these might not outweigh the other elements for any given individual. For people who like WP-style games but find PR and LH too boring/complex/difficult, two other solid iOS worker placement boardgames in a similar vein as Stone Age are Alien Frontiers and Tikal. AF is definitely one of those games that can look more complicated/unfriendly at first glance than it actually is, though.
