Absolutely never. The controls are perfect in fact. You're dangerously drifting into fanboy hysterics to be honest.
haha, who are you trying to convince? I played Muffin Knight, I have no reason to lie. It's a bad game, please respect my opinion, which is shared by a lot of players here. Can we close this debate now? did you read the thread's subject? we are here to talk about SCB. if you want to defend the rip off, there is another thread for that: http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?t=105789&page=6 and regarding the length of your post there, don't call me fanboy please...
Hey I thought you were done with the debate? Stop trying to defend SCB. Nobody gives a damn about how much you think MK sucks. Take your trolling elsewhere. OK? On a side note yes I did beta test MK and I along most of the other testers and most of the people who bought MK believe that the controls work very well. I have also played the comp version of SCB. Like I said before if SCB doesn't controls that work as good or better than MK's then MK will probably have better sales. Spencer: stop kissing Vlambeer and halfbots asses and move on in life. Don't you have other threads to go troll around in? Let's all commence the discussion of SCB by Vlambeer and Halfbot. Let's ban the words "rip off" "clone" "muffin" and "knight" from this thread.
Of course you do; you're so invested in SCB that you're unable to approach this discussion objectively, or even reasonably at this point. Well, contrary to your above statement, that's a lie right there. Most of the people speaking "against" MK are pointing out that its roots lie in SCB and that credit should be given; they're not actually claiming MK is a "bad game". Opinions don't need to - and shouldn't - be respected when they're the result of obvious bias and denial, and especially not when they are demonstrably untrue. Oh, I bet you'd love that. You take any chance you get to prevent me warning people about how the muffins I bought from those clone knights were a rip off. >_<
So.... I guess my suggestion of peace has.... no support? rofl Again, can't we agree it's a GOOD RIPOFF? Good means it has quality to it, ie: graphics, price, gameplay Ripoff means it took a core element from another game, ie: SCB's gameplay So let's just agree to disagree and get back on topic, okay? The game does look awesome, and Halfbot and Vlambeer are already known for that, right?
Alright Muffin Knight people go to your thread; Super Crate Box people discuss politely in this thread. No one needs to knock another game for any reason, k?
Lol, so many people trying to get the final say in the debate. ANYWAYS, is there any update on SCB? Is it still coming this month? Any new screens/vids? I'd like to see some gameplay and get a feel for how the controls will work out. Fast paced games like this absolutely must have near-perfect controls.
I'm going to put my two cents in.... I'd much the rather pixel art of Super Crate Box than the 3D of Muffin Knight. I am so keen for this.
Did you see me saying anywhere not to buy Muffin Knoght or to rate it poorly? No, I said to acknowledge the fact that it's a rip and buy both games. If you don't want to buy both, then that's your loss completely. I have Muffin Knight in fact - I got it and I beta tested it.
he was talking to me, anyway the debate is over. Anybody knows if scb devs are reading the TA forums? I have some suggestions. For example when I touch the screen, I want something to happen. If I miss a button and nothing happens I see it as bug. Make your buttons visible, and be sure to make the touch zone big enough to avoid this problem. It was nicely done in the blocks cometh. Also if we could change the position and size of each button (and their touch zone independently) it would be perfect!
As Spencer noted, that was directed primarily at a comment he had made. It's not a loss; as I stated previously, I already have SCB and, outside of its potential "retro" novelty value, simply don't find it as interesting as MK.
Vlambeer is probably watching the thread, although this is only a quick port since they're only doing it because of Muffin Knight. They had to delay Ridiculous Fishing for this to happen, unfortunately, so I'm pretty sure they don't want to spend any more time on it than possible. Although we can all hope for future updates.
Yeah, they're focusing on just getting it out right? Then (hopefully) they'll take player suggestions.
Thing is, if you think pathetic is a personal insult you haven't heard anything yet. You're obviously a child who doesn't understand the brutality of the world and the game industry. The example you used is downright stupid (assuming both Angry Mob games and Halfbot are developers working under the same publisher/company) and is complete hyperbole. I guess I should be 'trolling' on Gameloft, Epic Games, Infinity Ward, DICE and other first person shooters because they each took a similar concept and put their own spin on it? Ridiculous... EDIT: Sorry, seems that the 'debate' was called off, my fault for not reading the entire thread. Will end it here but could not take such an ironic and ignorant comment. EDIT 2: Since when were they releasing this game just because a competitor releases a similar game? Shouldn't they actually spend time on this and not just release the game quickly so they can direct some of the sales from Muffin Knight to their game and again try and get people thinking their game was 'ripped off' when it was not the original out on iOS?
