It's been weird because there's never been a situation like with SMR before. The TA app automatically picks up changes in the App Store, and even though SMR isn't actually OUT yet it's actually been IN the App Store for months with a full working app info page and iTunes link ID and all that stuff. The TA app can't tell the difference between that and a game that's actually out for real. It's going to REALLY screw up how we do things around here if Apple allows more apps to do this sort of thing in the future. Anyway, to answer your question you can punch Eli in the face.
Ooooo now that made me smile. Me and Eli go way back. Where you at Eli??? Lol And yea I see what you mean about the way the TA app is working. I wonder if Apple will actually implement this experiment more fully after tomorrow. I was wondering if they'd ever add a way to do a sort of pre-order to see what kind of numbers they would get for an app. It's really going to be interesting to see what the numbers are compared to Pokemon Go. I'm thinking they went with a different pay model than Pokemon as an experiment as well. They could have charged for characters and all that but they didn't. Again it should be interesting. Billy
Now here's another question. With that notify button. I'm wondering if it will act like we've already downloaded it and be on the update lost or of it will change to buy and we get a mass email to our Apple IDs. 35 minutes to go until midnight EST. Billy
Don't mean to burst your bubble to anyone's for that matter, but my gut is telling me Apple will release as their usual 9 am (pst) time. I hope I'm wrong though.
Nah, that's not happening. There's no chance it won't be out on the 15th in Japan and it's already almost 2 PM over there. I'm guessing if not 12 EST, it'll be 12 PST. Either way, lets all relax...this is the first time we'll ever be notified by Apple themselves that a release is out.
