It will be released in time for Christmas. Upcoming high profile games can now be listed in the App Store with the option to notify you when they are released. This is all in the TA article. This has all been posted within this thread. Read!
Didn't Nintendo say they will never have mario on mobile device? Then we might expect mario all stars and mario 64 here yay!!!!
It's a paid app? When you load up the apps description look at the disclaimer. It clearly says it has in app purchases, ads, and will gather data for analytics. I don't know why they would have ads in a paid game unless maybe they are opt in? See picture of the disclaimer. Billy
I'd love if they let all developers put something like this on the App Store, kind of like a preorder ... Let it auto download on release date!
Pre ordering and gaming is now in all other forms of gaming so I too agree it would be good for all involved

As stated in the article and plenty of times in this thread, the game will be free to download with a single IAP to unlock the full game. As for ads, the only things you're likely to see are notices on the main menu about other Nintendo games. You have to remember Nintendo's philosophy of making their games kid safe. They would never have random pop up ads that are managed by some other company in their games.
I'm surprised that Nintendo is going with a full premium unlock. It sounds too good to be true. I would have bet my car that they would have gone with some disgusting free to play model with IAP galore. I'm super psyched about this!
