How do I find out about apps? Review (actually, browsing the TouchArcade site, but that wasn't an option)

How much is too much to pay for an app? $4.99 I don't do a lot of epic games, so anything about $2.99 for the kind of games I play is usually too much

What do I pay attention to most? User reviews (actually, it's a 4-way combination of stars, descriptions, user reviews and price, but I picked the one that is usually the "tie-breaker" if needed.
