I like how if you die you can restart from your last checkpoint and don't lose any of your stuff. I am on day seven and royally screwed I didn't realize I used all my logs to start building a shelter and still need two to complete it. It got dark before I could chop more wood so I can't build a fire. all I have is a torch. What do you guys think my chances are of surviving the night?
Seems like a solid game. It might not look as pretty as Radiation Island (which I prefer because of the added third person choice of view), but I have had a much stronger sense of urgency here. It feels more gritty and scary. Having to prepare fire to live through the night and consider what stuff you keep to keep the fire alive is a nice touch. The menus are really smart for a crafting game and it feels like it could prove to be a really strong game in its genre. Only spend about half an hour so far, but it seems like it is doing all thing right, whether you prefer to play as a rogue like survival game or restart from last checkpoint when dying.
This game needs a "Are you sure" message box to confirm a restart. I meant to resume , but hit the button to restart the game and lost all my play time. At least you start over with your upgrades. But this has happened to me twice now.
