Howdy howdy everyone! Short post. We have outsourced our programming needs to a fantastic gentleman named Skylar Wheaton. He has already done more for the programming aspects of the game than we could do in 3 weeks. Hopefully things will go a lot smoother now. Everything else should just fall in to place. I will have some art asset pics uploaded later today. Also the textures are finished for the ship. Now we just have to texture everything else! haha. Also, because of recent setbacks the release date has been pushed back yet again. I know I am SORRY! But thus is life as an indie dev, especially one that has not made a game before. Cheers!
Yup, he's doing a brilliant job so far! The project is starting to pick up steam again. And we'll be able to implement a few things we might not have been able to before. This obviously means, we have more time to spend on finishing the art assets and improving the quality of it! Again, we're really sorry about the release date being pushed back again. Producing a game or any product is a hard thing to do, especially if it's your first go at it. We should be able to make our next target easily. Now that we have a programmer to fill the void in our team!
Hello everyone, Here'a an animation update. It's just the walk cycle for the spearmen. Note: It's a quick mockup, yes, it does look rather terrible.
Heyoo Everyone! An update from me tonight. I have finished the textures for the Chef character. Not entirely satisfied at this point with his textures, but there comes a point where you just have to move on. Perhaps in the future I will redo his textures. The picture below is his texture at approximately 256x256 resolution, the reason it is so low is because the Chef, Guntary and the Generic Crewman are all sharing a 1024 res UV map. Which will mean less texture loading during gameplay. Or, at least, that is our hopes. Critiques and comments are always more than welcome and wanted!! Also, regarding gameplay. We are hoping to have some more gameplay footage up in a week or two depending on how things go with our new programmer! Woo!

I must admit, it is a very interesting idea to have such an open development cycle, and it is certainly drawing my interest. Keep up the good work.

Hey Redskull97!! Thank you so much! I think Raveen will have a lot of fun with these guys and their animations. I really have a soft spot for poor Guntar. He is all blind and such. I can just imagine him walking in to masts and enemies. lol
Hey Fellow Pirates! Got another update for you folks. Kind of a big one, all the weapons have been textured! Hurray! All I have to do next is the props and that is it for the textures. Gameplay programming is coming along quite nicely, we are not in a place where we can show you much yet, but hopefully soon we will have another gameplay preview for you guys! For now enjoy these groovy textures, and hit us back with your thoughts!
When is the release date? this looks amazing already! Btw is that all the weapons in the game? I prefer to have more firearm but one is okay though I'm still gonna buy it don't worry and the textures for the weapons looks radical Good job keep up the good work!
