Nice to see you are still rolling, and congratulations on the Steam release! Patiently waiting for iOS now
Hey all - thought I'd share a few screenshots that I've been grabbing while play-testing the game on my iPhone. It's almost ready to go, and not playing too shabby...
Those screens look great Steve! Of course, your games always s look great. Can we have the option to rename our characters? Also, can you shoot arrows through bars to hit the enemy on the other side? Thanks
Hey! Thanks for the compliment! No, you can't shoot through bars, but I like that idea. I'm stealing it for the new game
While you are at it, why not have some gates that can come down on smaller enemies and crush them? Cheers!
Definitely. Dungeon Master had that feature and it was really neat. Unfortunately I wasn't able to do it in The Deep Paths due to some limitations in the way I'd written the doors early on. You CAN however lure enemies onto spikes or drop them down pits. I like that idea of being able to use the environment to kill enemies rather than have to fight them outright, every time.
Some exciting news... we submitted The Deep Paths to Apple today! That means a release date announcement should not be too far off. You can check out some recent coverage from TouchArcade HERE.
That is great news Steve. And thanks for continuing to make these type of games that I grew up with. I look forward to playing soon. Thanks
Hey - thanks for that. I'm just trying to make each one a little better than the last one I really hope you enjoy The Deep Paths.
Just a note, the subject of this thing says "iPad". The game is going to be available for both iPad and iPhone. If there's a way to change that subject, it seems that it is beyond my skills, cause I can't figure it out
Don't mean to be rude but how is this going to be different or better than Coldfire Keep? It's looks pretty much the same, Imo. Legend of Grimrock is also very similar Which I also enjoyed but will this game up the ante somehow, someway??
It is "pretty much the same" in that it's a first-person dungeon crawler. In terms of the actual game though, it's a completely different story, UI, environment, RPG system, etc. Not entirely sure if that's what you mean.
I hope that the iPad Pro 12.9" is included. A few games released on iOS don't take in consideration the Pro's larger screen resolution making some UI elements non responsive to taps and some of the menus cut off on the sides.
It is included - although there was a weird thing with someone using 10.2 (not 10.2.1) Anyway its out tomorrow!
