What Blew You Away In E3 2010? For me it's definitely Golden Sun : Dark Dawn ( the so called golden sun 3/Golden Sun DS). I have waited for this moment for years since beating golden sun 2 (my favourite rpg and best rpg of all time). The 3DS is just plain amazing to see especially with the kid icarus trailer showing off it's brand new graphics. The remake of Golden Eye just brought back so many memories of elementary. Going to friends house everyday after school the 4 of us , playing goldeneye and hanging out. Nintendo totally won E3 this year but apart from that , I'm excited about the new twisted metal game. The game originally for ps1 is finally back with sweet tooth and more . So tell me about what excited you most about E3 2010.
This should be in the lounge section. Anyways, nothing really "blew me away", but I am excited for Zelda on the Wii and Twisted Metal as well. The 3DS didn't blow me away, but I was fairly impressed by the graphics. I'll have to hold one myself to see what the fuss is all about though.
Unless Kojima releases new details on Metal Gear Solid: Rising, I think the one thing that really impressed me was the Square Enix iPhone division. 2 awesome games, one of them being my favorite action RPG on the SNES, both getting ported to the iPhone. I'm really surprised, as we were all hoping for Secret of Mana, and thought it would never happen, but it did. All I can hope for now is that they follow it up with my personal favorite, Sword of Mana.
I was rather impressed by Sony's "Move". I was expecting it to be a gimmicky pile of crap, but it actually looks pretty good. I watched a demo showing some Socom 4 gameplay and the aiming was done by moving the device. But the guy wasn't waving his arms around like a maniac, but just small movements to control his aim, and that makes it appeal to me even more - the fact that you can be lazy and lie down, but still use the device to aim. And it could even be quicker and more accurate to aim with. If you think about it you can move the stick gradually to aim precisely or you can quickly move it further in a particular direction to quickly aim, whereas with the small analogue stick you typically have to hold it at it's maximum for a while before the reticle gets to where you want it to go. The IGN demo with the robot was so funny too, that guy is the coolest nerd I've ever seen.
Guys I'm going to e3 tomorrow but only for that one day, so I've got about 5 hours to play some games and like hodapp said it's ****in insane, so Im asking people about which games I should place on my "need to play" list, cuz I sure as hell can't play em all. Any suggestions?
Does anyone know when (if at all) the next portion of Nintendo's conference will be? I'm sure they have more Mario up their sleeve than some spinoff sports game and I'm interested to see the new Pokemon games. Also, why oh why did they keep ODDJOB in the new Goldeneye? Also, does anyone else find it kind of ironic that Daniel Craig is this game's James Bond yet he wasn't even IN Goldeneye?
My semi review on the main 3 presenters E3 (Microsoft, Nintendo, and Sony) (Also they have some language so be prepared if you need to as I tend to be extreme when I am excited or pissed off it's not that bad but still some people find language offensive although it is just words) http://i45.tinypic.com/ju70k2.jpg Part 1 http://i47.tinypic.com/2w5pw7p.jpg Part 2 Also inb4 Nintendo fanboy. I have all 3 consoles and love them all equally but Nintendo was simply the winner this year. Microsoft's was extremely disappointing (especially because lasts years was fantastic) And Sony's was just bad. Not at all good. I mean barely showed anything new. And what they showed that was new was nothing we didn't know or hadn't seen before. And half the show was some Roast with Game Company's replacing celebrities byt some douche who was obviously payed by Sony to say this stuff that was obviously scripted to make up for Sony's lack of things to show at this E3. (also at the time of writing those I was under the impression goldeneye was a sequel until I re-watched the trailer and realized it was an advanced port so don't hate on me for that)
Castlevania Lord of Shadows. Rayman Origins LittleBigPlanet 2 Marvel vs Capcom 3 Portal 2 Mortal Kombat
Oh 100 percent. Microsoft and Sony's shows were terrible compared to Nintendo. Nintendo totally won this year without a doubt. also if you haven't check out my mini reviews (along with a bigger one on Nintendo) I did them in Paint so I could do it how I did so they are images so I would recommend use an image editor (like MSPaint or whatever you or anyone else has to open up the second one and zoom in slightly because that one is a little hard to read unless you have pretty good eyes.)
A list of games announced on E3? damn... that would be really long. The Nintendo conference alone was outrageous than adding in the 3rd party conferences and even Microsoft and Sony's dismal conferences that would be crazy and would take somebody like a half an hour just to read the names on the list let alone research them...
I can't be bothered sifting through 20 pages, but if you guys haven't checked out Child of Eden. Do so below! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8EfjJeRzQ5M&feature=player_embedded
I'm not really interested in Goldeneye after seeing just how different it is. It can barely be regarded as a remake, it's more of a new game with ideas and inspiration stolen from Goldeneye. There's no hint of them using the same level structures at all. You can't just make a new game that looks a bit like Goldeneye and expect it to be awesome.
And I'm off! Here's a quick lost of games I'm hoping I get the chance to play. Marvel vs capcom 3 gears of war 3 cod black ops bulletstorm nintendo 3ds stuff dead rising 2 rage dead space 2 crackdown 2 brink mortal kombat ghost recon Arkham asylum 2 if they've got it and some xbla games if they are there: shank, battleblock theater, Monday night combat
