Pikmin I agree with amazing game. And meh multiplayer was ok, but even that wasn't worth paying full price for at launch...
I want to know how the 3D works. I was expecting it just to be a gimmicky 3D effect using the accelerometer but it sounds like it's "proper" 3D because of the ability to watch movies in 3D. Anyone know how it works?
I think it's similar to what the Virtual Boy did: seperate screens that form in to one, giving the illusion of 3D. There's a "3D Camera" on the 3DS to take 3D pictures and it has 2 lenses.
Yep, a 3D enhanced version of Starfox 64 (or Lylat Wars as it was known over here in Europe). Also, this just in from IGN's playtest with Zelda Skyward Sword: "We're very relieved to report that the Motion Plus controls work sensationally accurately with Link's sword... Rest assured Zelda's gameplay absolutely cuts Red Steel 2's swordplay to pieces." Glad the demonstration was just a minor hiccup then. As already states by others, best Nintendo conference for a while!
I never doubted Nintendo. Zelda is their most acclaimed franchise, no way in hell they are screwing it up. That game looks beautiful. Love the art-style. Donkey Kong, Epic Mickey and Kirby also looks excellent. People are finally playing to the strengths of the Wii.
I posted my comment before it was determined that it was technical difficulties affecting Legend of Zelda. Sorry for creating such an uproar. 3DS looks interesting. Looking forward to the huge lineup. Really liking how Epic Mickey looks. That'll be one to watch for me. On to Sony's conference: holy crap, Killzone 3 looks awesome.
3DS graphics look very impressive, put to shame anything else on the market so far. Not sure if I'll get it though, still waiting to see what Sony has in store for the PSP2. Edit: Also Zelda on the Wii? Looks like I'm gonna finally have to buy one.
Are you kidding me? Sony's answer to the 3DS is an advertising campaign? Seriously? S.I.D. -- what PSP2?
The PSP2 whenever they announce it. I didn't mean they'd announce it today, maybe until TGS and yes Sony's answer to the 3DS is an ad campaign LOL It's like they wanna lose. Oh Sony, I am disappoint.
That's it! I'm getting a new sensor bar for my Wii and I'm setting it up right next to my Xbox. Kamazar wants him some Zelda. Hell, Kamazar will pick up SMG 2 as well... Kamazar is gonna need himself a heck of a lotta giftcards this holiday season.
I guess they're between a rock and and a hard place (so to speak). If they do a pre-announcement of a PSP2, the current sales will tank even more. But announcing nothing pretty much gives E3 to Nintendo (at least in the portable department). What I find bizarre is that Sony is aiming the ads at the iPhone, as if that's the PSPs real competition. Very strange.
