Er, isn't that Beethoven? Regardless, who needs a St Bernard when they have a fire elemental. Admittedly, probably less fun to pet, but a significantly lower drool quotient. I'm kinda enjoying this. My elf mage was whacked several times by two bandits guarding a treasure chest, but I worked out that I could fight them one at a time with judicious positioning. Apparently, your pal bursting into flames and then running off isn't worthy of attention. Once I torched them both, I couldn't wait to tackle that chest. My reward? 17 gold. What?!
Ah the joys of picking someone's locked chest to only sell their stuff back to them. I am not a rogue but an entrepreneur!
I'm in this time after realising I must have bought this back in the day and never played it. I've rolled an elf ranger as well which gets me away from my usual magic build in RPGs. Really enjoying this so far having made my way to Taryn Ridge and waiting for an invasion to fight. Still a pretty game and running fine on my iPhone 6
Can anyone explain what the blue and green bars do and how they regenerate? Seems a little random OK. Stupid me. Green is the XP bar which is why isn't wasn't going up. You level up so fast to start with I hadn't realised it wasn't an energy bar like the others
At least for the first while, I'm picking them so that I can ensure they're doable and present a variety from month-to-month. I'm not opposed to doing a reader's choice now and then, though. As for Chrono Trigger, it is on my tentative schedule for this year. Won't say exactly which month, though.
Oooo.... that's another one of my favorites. I hope it's not next month though. I'm going to be busy with Breath of the Wild.
"If you try to get out, they pull you back in." With no intention to take part in another play--along so close after I barely finished FF1 last month, I just wanted to know what kind of game Aralon is. As it turned out, it is a very beautiful game! So, I'm in! Again! I don't plan to push so hard this month, but yes, I'll play along. The throw of the dice gave us what everyone needs: Another elven ranger! But Krötenbändiger is a true hero! He already killed a straw man and brew a weak healing potion, which was awarded with an increase of his experience level. Because he is such a nice guy, Krötenbändiger ended up with much too many quests like searching for a missing pet dog and looking for a missing husband. Is there a way to read the displayed tips? They come and go that fast, I wasn't able to read a single one (travelling by horse is an example of such a flash tip).
Hmm... I don't think so. As far as horse riding, after you talk to someone and get the deed to the horse, use the deed like an item and the horse will magically appear.
So all you mages out there, what stats are you focusing on when you level up? I've been increasing intellect and spirit but I'm thinking I should increase endurance some so I'm not too squishy.
I'm focusing on intelligence only. This will, eventually, allow me to cast spells consecutively. Glass cannon all the way. Using the pet to block and distract enemies and once far enough leveled use wind and dazzle spells for defence. Also, It's very helpful to learn how to use your staff to block/parry physical attacks while casting spells.
You don't need an excuse to play arguably the best rpg ever...You need a damn good excuse why NOT to play it or have already played. You can get banned from this site just for admitting you haven't played it.
Too late for me to take back those points on spirit and agility then... Might copy your tactic from now though. Quick question: does agility affect criticals for spells?
I was wondering the same thing. I think I'm still going to put points into spirit for the energy recharge. Although I guess you could always just stock up on energy potions.
As far as I know it's just for physical actions. Energy potions do help, but if you get high enough intellect you'll be surprised how fast it recovers. Later in the game I never run out due to how high it is. One warning though. In the early parts of the game, even if you have the points to train the spells for higher level you might want to keep them reasonable until you gain more energy. Sometimes it's easier to spam a spell at lower level then to cause higher damage and run out.
Since we are putting in votes, chaos rings 3 looks sic. And chrono trigger I missed too. . FF6 looks high quality too, for a mobile. On to rogue question??? Why can I not poison my weapon. Does it HAVE to be a dagger?
