Holy shit, stop with the assumptions already. It makes you look immature. Well on second thought though, maybe you are. Private/Small Developers don´t develop for the NDS, because they aren´t allowed to by Nintendo. Unlike Apple, Nintendo handpicks the developers it wants to have on their console, i guess Sony does the same. Compared to those, the App Store is an open platform where everyone who meets the hardware requirements may share his app. This Link contains Nintendos formal requirements for being an licensed developer on the Wii/Wiiware, Nintendo DS/DSi. Especially take note at this requirement:
You and Mr Scott is basically saying the same thing that it is the consumer's wish for the big devs to stay away, maybe you can defend your argument better than he does.
You Sir are ignored from this day on. I don´t have the time to respond to close minded people, besides your posts aren´t very constructive either.
Hmmmmmmm this is from the GTA thread a while back See you can't even make an argument about your statement that 'it's the consumer's wish for the big developers to stay away', Mr. Scott reminds me of you no offense!
Congratulations on being the second guy ending up on my ignore list. Let´s get back to topic now, shall we?
You did read the rules right and you know by now how shilling is a taboo here, If you are going to shill at least be careful not to get caught!
Will the real Michael Scott please stand up. Maybe he can shed a light on this cuz it sure looks like it's Tblsra alright.
Alright, this is the last time i´m addressing this. Stop accusing me of being Michael Scott, because i am not. I don´t need to justify myself in front of you, so you can be rest assured that this will be the last statement about this issue. I´ve also reported a specific post to the mods, because i´m annoyed of being followed by an immature mob accusing me of being someone else. Thanks Eric
Bleak you say? Personally, it doesn't really matter to me. I have enough app store games to last me a life time...and I buying more every other day. The question is how long will the idevice itself will last.
99% of the stuff on the app store has a complete lack of polish.. at least big companies put some effort into how their games look.. ihy michaelscott </3
Big companies make good looking games, thats agreed but they are just as good as indie dev games... look at infinity project for example... so overshadowed by GTA:CW and NOVA it doesn't half the talk it deserves and its a 10th of the price and still the same quality. Look at Hi, how are you? amazing indie game that actually got recognition and has amazing graphics. It still a 5th of the price. The quality isn't as different as the treatment of the consumers. Big companies release big games and forget about them. Indie devs spend months updating and talking with players of their game, taking suggestions, to produce an all out better gaming experience. I may spend 50 hours on GTA:CW this year if it takes as long as they say it does, but I'll still be playing minisquadron in 5 years (if my iTouch lasts that long)
Big companies release a finished game, indie release a half baked product and promised to make it more complete after several updates. Only in the appstore can we see a product out in alpha stage, updates are just a sorry excuse for the indie devs to get their product out as quickly as possible. About GTA, there are several mini games within the game that could've sell individually in the appstore and are much better than most apps I've played so far.
