Tell me and can confirm if quotes made by other posters can be edited? I am willing to bet my forum membership and never post here again if you can prove that it can be done if you promise to do the same if you can't. Up to it?

 

Nope they can't, just tried. But they can if you start typing out your post while they are in their first version of the post, then if you hit submit and they have already updated it, THEN it will edit the quote.

 

I don't think so. When you hit quote it copies the original text, no matter what revision is done to the quote by the poster, the one you copied remains the same.

 

Not unless you're using quick replies which is what I'm using. I just check the box and it uses the quote displayed at that time. So it may change if they update their post while I'm typing it out.
