Yeah- it's got a pretty interesting history- the first KoF game was something like 1994, and had characters from Fatal Fury and Art of Fighting.

Street fighter's Dan was Capcom's way of making fun of AoF, as he resembles main character Robert, wearing Ryo (the AoF character)'s karate gi!

Still, over the years, KoF had definitely distanced itself from being a Street fighter clone, and incorporated plenty of fanservice, like including characters from Metal Slug and other SNK games, as well as having different mechanics.

To those not in the know, yes- it looks like SF as much as any other 2d fighting game, however anyone that's into versus fighters couldn't ever make that mistake.

EDIT: @ninjackid: well, if you were to look at the arcade sticks from a number of fighting games, they'll probably look pretty similar- what would you expect? Actually, i wonder if this game uses the same Visual Pad system that Capcom are using?

Uh... wouldn't the action be too fast/intense for the iPhone controls to keep up? Just saying...
Going to sit on the fence for just a bit longer... (more info on characters/DLC). I used to LOVE KoF. Hope there's Bluetooth co-op mode...

wow, just wow. I'm not going to bash you because it's obvious you don't know much about fighting games. KOF series has been around for a looooong time, let's just leave it at that

this game is a dream though, I'm still shocked this just popped up out of nowhere

wow just wow its obvious you've got no clue what im talking about.

Im not saying KOF has ripped off streetfighter gameplay but in this version for iphone the ui is ripped from sf4 for iphone, you gotta be blind to not see that.

And fyi KOF has been around for a "loooong" time and ive been around for longer.
