Anyone heard much about Dark Souls? The spiritual successor to one of the best games this generation, Demons Souls! This is honestly the best news I've had all year. Demons Souls is incredible and I didn't dare hope for a sequel but this sounds just perfect.
I just found it genius how the smallest details were tied up. I only realized this later, but Spoiler White goo is made out of moon dust! (Cave John son said that-thus making perfect sense that you could put a portal on the moon. Don't know if anyone else figured this out, maybe I'm just slow . Loved how it all tied together though And I agree that the song is less memorable than the first, but it still does a great job in wrapping the game up in a humorous way, much better than most games do. And it's near impossible to top "Still Alive," in my opinion
You're probably right. Definitely GOTY for whichever year it came out... 2010? The only game so good I bought it twice for the same console.
Source? I read on somewhere (Joystiq? Kotaku?) that they'd opened a somewhat shaky build back up for developers, but I can't find any other news from the last day or two...
Anyone seen the Starhawk reveal? I thought it was really epic. I played Warhawk for Three and a half years almost every week. Nice to see a sequel. http://starhawkthegame.com/index/
I've never played Warhawk, but it looks good and so does this. I'll definitely keep an eye on this one, I mean, space dogfighting, nobody can resist that. Also, the first PS3 exclusive for next years lineup.
I like the mechanic where you can change the face of the battlefield through both creation and destruction in real-time. I don't think that's really been done before in a shooter, so it's cool that these guys are trying to bring something new to the table.
I guess it really isn't a sequel to Warhawk, but it's a "spiritual predecessor." To make the Build and Battle system balanced, they can be destroyed and also take up a lot of Rift energy (things you pick up when you kill an enemy).
Hi! Yeah that's kinda old news. They said that they would give everyone two free games of choice from a list of five, but they still haven't revealed the list yet
Yup, fully up and running http://blog.us.playstation.com/2011/05/14/play-on-%E2%80%93-psn-restoration-begins-now/
Yes... Partly. Online multiplayer and Home are back, but no PS Store. (that comes at a later date). Also, PSN online and Home hasn't rolled out in all regions yet. I think they should be up fully by the end of today. New York and Maryland have it up already. On the PSN blog on playstation.com there's a map that shows where it's been reactivated.
