That's if it comes out tonight. I guess the bright side of it not coming out tonight is that it doesn't have to compete with Radiation City.
Strangely enough radiation city is not giving me the right vibe from the imgs. It is not only more expensive but feels more like another zombie game
I fear for the game, really. I think I let my expectations get the better of me, despite my best jesgement, since I love Post Apocalyptic games.
I think Radiation city and the Sun are different tho, Radiation city looks to have more of a crafting aspect and seems to remind more like the state of decay games - The sun looks to be more fallout inspired so likely more of a FPS - I think ill end up getting both but from a concept point of view The Sun is considerably more interesting for me!
The sun gives me a vibe like the old S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games on PC. Does anyone remember those? Despite them being utterly unpolished, i remember spending hours and hours exploring their game world. I would love to have such an experience in my pocket. On a side note, i can confirm that Radiation City is good, but the sun seemingly comes much closer to what im looking for. If only the devs replied here.
I dunno everything I've read in the radiation city post has disappointed me. I may just go with the sun and stick to that plus morphite is coming very soon too
i remember STALKER, what a game! i can add that RC has an Op Flashpoint vibe too (specially when you ride on an UAZ ), one of the best FPS/Strategic open world games (a hundred + square km) of all times, imo. regarding The Sun, i've tried the beta version on a Galaxy Tab, and although it looks beautiful, doesn't seem to be an open world, there are some not too large zones to explore, and to move from one to another the game changes to a top down view, like a sort of rpg map, and that breaks all the atmosphere... that's not a good choice imho.
Id asked that earlier in the thread and they had said no but might look into it, hoping that they will eventually add it
