Haha, I've stopped being totally serious about it anymore, I just like taking wild potshots at them and then never reading the replies Not that I don't feel it's a valid point... I was watching this video earlier and it amazed me how terrible the movement looks with a mouse. Jerky as hell. It gives the impression the game is sped up and BFBC2 ends up playing more like Halo/CoD than the realistic, tactical squad-based shooter I know and love.
I'm liking Torchlight too. I've never had a good gaming PC so I've always missed out on a lot of games. I feel it's way easy, though. I'm playing it on Normal difficulty at the moment. I've gotten some 20+ hours in and I haven't died once!
just in case anyone is looking to buy a few of the upcoming big games for the year, best buy is running a great deal. Pre-order 5 games from a list of around 15 that they have, and you get a hundred dollar gift card when you pick up the last one. I did this last night, and pre-ordered 2 copies of GoW3, Skyrim, Batman: Arkham City, and MW3. They've got games like BF3, Saints Row 3, Zelda:Skyward Sword, Rage, pretty much every huge release. IF you were planning on picking up these games anyways, it is a great deal; each game essentially is priced at 40 dollars. Also they are still running their buy 2 get one free on any game, which is why I went there in the first place. Picked up SF4 AE, Transformers:War for Cybertron, and Singularity.
Ohh man I've been wanting to get SF4 AE for a while now but I really shouldn't since we're in development right now haha. I guess it's for the best that I'm gonna pass on it for now, since I'm really not in the mood to fight countless amounts of Yung and Yang users online.
My Xbox 360 (fat, white model) died today. Only two weeks after I finally bought a nice new 250gb hard drive. Now I have the dilemma of either getting it repaired for $100 AU, having to wait a month or two and then continue to worry about the stupid thing breaking again; or getting a nice new one for $400. I suppose not having an Xbox for a while will mean less distractions from my uni course, but still...
Were you halfway through any games? I figure if you weren't fully invested into something right now it'd be best to wait it out
Well if you're currency at Aussie is the same as USD, you could get a Xbox 360 Slim for $200. Returning the old 250gb Hard Drive and transferring the memory from the old 360 to the Slim.
But then I would have to buy power adapters to compensate for different plugs etc, and American games (I think). I've decided to try a DIY fix and if that doesn't work I'll get a new one (which comes with some bonus games I can sell) and sell the hard drive on ebay.
If you have a torx 6 screwdriver, you can unscrew the old xbox hard drive , becuase the Slim Xbox has a SATA port, and the old Xbox hard drive is a SATA drive inside.
Hmm. Interesting. Anyone know any reasonably fool-proof online tutorials to fix a RROD-ed Xbox? there is no longer any warranty on it to void.
Just been playing the new XBLA game Warhammer 40,000 Kill Team if your into 3rd person shooters this is superb
I saw a preview gameplay vid of Warhammer 40K. It seemed pretty cool but I don't know if I'll even understand what's going on since I've never played the board game.
It doesnt really have anything to do with the board game apart from the name it's just a twin stick shooter with some RPG elements to it .
Oh, I didn't mean the gameplay or anything. I saw a preview gameplay video of it. I meant the story. Who my character is, what character class he is and what his background is, what this world I'm shooting up is, what my motivations are etcetera. Things explained in the lore and first board games that came out and whatnot.
This is really easy to do and you can buy a knockoff snap-together case on ebay for the slim 360 hard drive, so that it fits in perfectly. I got one of those and it works great. Yes, you could put the drive in without a case, but that just seems a bit too wobbly and troublesome for me and the case isn't too expensive.
Are I see what you mean I'm not familiar with the Warhammer thing as a whole I played a couple of times when I was younger but that's it . This is game is still superb without any background knowledge .
Ohh okay. Cool, thanks for letting me know. I was just wondering since I have a friend who's way into the board game and when he starts talking about the story of it all I get very confused hehe
