If Diablo III comes out for Xbox I'll play it. I've been playing lots of Trials Evolution (GOTY for me for sure) and that damn Gigatrack is taunting me. I got 3 faults this weekend, but 30 seconds too slow for gold. Argh! Ok, maybe this course I'm not super fond of, but it's the last of the hard and easier tracks I have to get gold on and I really want that gold.
http://www.ign.com/videos/2012/05/31/tomb-raider-crossroads-trailer-e3-2012?utm_campaign=ign+main+twitter&utm_source=twitter&utm_medium=social Just out. Looks good..March 2013 though, meh. Can't wait to check out all the titles being shown at E3.
Microsoft's E3 Press conference will be streamed here, I believe: http://www.e3companion.com/ About an hour and a half from now.
Grabbed Deus Ex HR for $20 new today. Looks like some good stuff. First FPS RPG for me. I haven't been playing much 360 lately though since getting addicted to SC2 and D3. Not sure where I should pick up again because all of my games that I haven't played are going to take 15+ hours to beat, lol..
Great game, I'm sure you'll enjoy it. The story is phenomenal, although confusing at times, and the gameplay is very realistic, but varied most times with stealth, exploration, and straight forward combat. Just have fun, and if you need help upgrading I'm here because I know the best choices. Anyway just got dead island, currently enjoying it and going to get the original crysis this weekend too. Should last me awhile.
Haven't started Deus Ex HR, but I grabbed a new copy of Borderlands GOTY Edition today. Should be an awesome game. FPS + RPG = win. Edit: Next 360 game I'm getting: TC's GR: Future Soldier. Just realized how good it looked. It's also the best-selling game overall so far in 2012. Surprised?
I'm almost 3 years late, but holy shit, Borderlands is a freaking amazing game. New favorite for the 360? Possibly. Glad I grabbed it. A dungeon crawler with all of its customization and loot and a fast-paced FPS? Damn.
The only console game I played this weekend was Snoopy Flying Ace with my kids. It's actually a really fun game. We have 2 xboxes so we play 3 players (2 on one, 1 on the other), or 4 if their neighborhood friend is around. Versus bots and/or each other. I'm going to get them to try going online next time. It's actually pretty brutal, the online, as most people are *really* good and I die left and right, but it should be more fun with them. Also... finally upgrading to FiOS internet! Yeah! Not going to be installed until next Monday, though. Hopefully it goes smoothly.
Spec Ops: The Line and Dawnguard tomorrow. Anyone? More importantly, THE EXTENDED CUT FOR ME3 WILL BE OUT TOMORROW FOR FREE.
On the bright side, you've only got to wait a few months for the sequel. Those of us with the curse of keeping up to date have been hanging around for years.
One of the reasons I grabbed it, heh. Edit: Looked through a Redbox for fun today. Saw Max Payne 3 and TCGR:FS there. Sometimes, I just want to spend those $4 to rent a new game and blast through it in two days, lol. Doubt I'll ever do that though.
You'll never blast through MP3 from Redbox because it's 2 disc game on the 360 and they only have disc 1. At least they have disc 1, which is an improvement over not getting either.
Looks like gamers across the internet and pretty happy with the new ME3 endings. Going to give the DLC a download later today. Spec Ops: The Line has some pretty good ratings so far too. Next game I'm getting will probably be TCGR: FS though. I was surprised to learn that it was the best-selling game of 2012 so far, ahead of Diablo III.
TCGR Future Soldier (360) is already on sale for $40 new at GameStop. I think it's time to grab a copy. Borderlands gets better and better as I play. The menu/equip/shop system feels extremely dated though. It's all so meticulous in comparison to similar actions in modern crawlers like Diablo III. It's definitely not a game you'd play for the story, but neither is any dungeon crawler.
Spelunky (XBLA) is great! I'm pretty addicted to it. It's super difficult, but think of it as a rogue-like. You die a lot, but it's easy to start again. But don't buy this for the multiplayer. I'm not sure if that was in the Steam version or if they added it for this, but in any case it's a throwaway, especially the multiplayer in Adventure mode. Where dying and having to start over works great in single player, in multiplayer it means you get to sit there and do nothing until everybody else dies. So stick to the single player and this is a great game.
So I just got an xbox. Any games worth getting that I can't get on my PC? Not really interested in Halo or GoW.
