With all the raves for this, I'm thinking I'd better pick this up immediately. Great music apps are a wonderful thing to have.
a bit on a different matter, a new version of the excellent music app NanoStudio is underway (so has been announced on the app's forums). should come out soon. new version will introduce - among many other things - Eden sample page that supports note slicing to up to 64 slices. if you love making music then give this app a try. it's quite expensive ($14.99) but it's really amazing. also, you can download the full version for pc/mac for free from their site and try it out before you purchase for your idevice.
I just bought ThumbJam and after spending some time with the app I cant believe I got this for a buck One of the best deals I got in months. The overall quality is outstanding. If someone is still hesitating just check out some youtube videos to see what it offers. This app is one of the best ways to let you fit a ton of instruments in your pocket. For a music addict like me this is a masterpiece.
Even for me, I play real instruments (bass, guitar) but have no experience with electronic stuff, and find it easy to lay down some loops, and can just jam.

Dropped to $1.99, not $0.99 but I can't change the thread title. Still an excellent app, keeps up with the times and from my standpoint is a bargain at the current price. Great for iPhone or iPad!
Easily worth the two bucks - this is my go-to app if I need to play something impromptu. Lots of free sounds available for download within the app. Plays nice with Audiobus. What's not to like? @Ninjakid: I think you can just paste/import directly into ThumbJam, then configure play surface/scale/etc.
Yup, one of the first music apps I bought.. It's a good one for sure.. Does this mean drum jam is on sale also? I highly suggest that one also
It certainly does! Can't wait for the 2nd coming. I feel as if I'm hoarding music apps now...since I started buying hardware. Amazing how much you can buy on ios for the price of one Access Virus or Microbrute
As said before this is a fantastic app. Don't miss that sale, folks! Here you have some updated videos. It's incredible how much fun profs can have with this app. With an external keyboard (via USB/Camera Kit): Subscribe to the TouchArcade YouTube channel But ThumbJam helps non-profs as good as possible.
