No connection problems. I'm surprised that PolarBit has not put out a video for it -- it would definitely help with the sales.
I'm going to have to agree there. Usually I like to check videos before I buy a game just to make sure the screens aren't misleading. I won't even buy a game most of the time before seeing a video, unless it's something like Phoenix Wright or another game I've been waiting on.
PolarBit is an experienced player on the iPlatform; you'd think they'd know that. I would shoot a video, but I don't have a equipment or a proper set up at home. It's actually pretty decent.
Even just a quick digital camera that takes video will do. i have a simple digital camera that I use at home when I shoot video. High quality isn't a big issue here, I saw the graphics from the screens.
I may be able to do that later today -- have my son all day, but I might be able to pull it off while he's taking a nap.
There is a single player campaign with 5 missions -- if the first one is any indication, the whole thing is fairly long.
Thanks squarezero - I'll see if I can fix my WiFi, but if not I'll still pick this up because it looks like great value for my money. MC:S has better graphics and a longer campaign, but costs more than 2X the money for this.
I see you guys like this game quite a bit. I also want OMG Pirates!, Phoenix Wright, and Verruckt (When the last 2 come out. Verruckt is due before Christmas). I have about $7-8. On a scale of 1-10 how much do you recommend I get this game considering the circumstances?
See my more detailed observations on the Game Releases thread. My main complaints are enemy AI (or lack thereof) and the need for saves at checkpoints. The checkpoint thing would be a deal breaker for me if it weren't for the multiplayer.
Dinner time at home -- sorry. I'm down for 9:00 pm EST. BTW -- I posted some bad video on the main Toon Warz thread.
Thanks, I just wanted something to get an idea of what the game is like. I think I might get either this or OMG Pirates!
Go with OMG Pirates. I like Toon Warz, but OMG is simply a new iPhone classic. It's one of the best action games on the platform -- period.
Ok thanks for the input. It really did look like a sick game. I think I have plenty of FPS games too, Sandstorm for the single player (multi's broken), Eliminate for online, and Zombies for survival. I watched the video and I see what everyone means by the bobbing view. It's pretty aggrivating. It'd really benefit the game if they toned that down ALOT. I'd prefer to have no bobbing than that even. Plus the controls don't seem all that smooth and easy to use. It looks like a good game, but I'll wait until after Christmas when I have alot more money.
I don't personally mind the bobbing, but I understand what you mean. As I mentioned on the post, my awkward came from the way I had to hold the phone while shooting the video. Actual gameplay is pretty smooth.
Oh yeah I forgot that. Still though, it seemed like you were hitting buttons when you were trying to turn. Was that a result of the angle or is that just a control thing like with the default Zombies control?
That was the angle thing -- when I first started playing I would hit the jump button by mistake, but I got used to the set up pretty quickly. There's also a dual stick option, but I prefer the screen drag one.
Alright, I think this is a definite after Christmas purchase, after pretty each side of the family has given me an iTunes card. For now, I think I'm going to go with OMG Pirates! if I decide to make the purchase. I don't have any of these kinds of games yet, and whenever I head to the arcade, my friends and I always head right for The Simpsons arcade game, which is pretty much the same thing. TW looks like a good game though and I look forward to getting it. How's the campaign? I heard it was actually pretty good.
