Most likely it will b/c there seems to be a focus on online play and, well, it is perfect world. But I really dont mind as these games tend to focus on grinding upon grinding upon grinding anyways. Not making it free to play would be quite odd. But its not like they do free to play wrong. Their games are quite enjoyable and payment always seems fair
I just hope that the Outlander class make's its way onto the mobile version I'd preferred a port of TL 2, but a mobile only game it's just OK, worked for Deus Ex, Dead Space and even CoD.
Torchlight 2 on PC was fantastic. Better than Diablo is a lot of ways for me. Looking forward to this. I'll likely try it no matter what the pay model.

Yep, but those f2p games usually prevent you even from grinding by implementing energy/stamina bars. Also grinding for better gear is mostly neccessary once you reach end game (no need to grind low lvl gear) whereas here, you'll have to grind to get into end game which is a huge difference imo. But I agree, let's see how this turns out first. I just hope they don't mess it up.

Nope, I highly doubt that IOS version will be better , first of all it most likely will be F2P and Im pretty sure you know what comes along after that. Secondly,it also might requires constant internet connection to prevent hackers which PC version doesn't. All of that combine basically ruin the point of playing a game completely. This is why iphone will never replace gaming consoles and handheld out there , NEVER !!!
This is quite a surprise. Since it's a PW game on mobile, likely it is gonna be using f2p model like some have mentioned. Hopefully it does ruin the overall experience as torchlight series has been a pretty great franchise.
Im sad now lol oh well. Still looks like an alright game. Was hoping for the vainglory/battleheart legacy/kingsroad type of controls. They work so well.
It is confirmed folks. This will be a f2p online only RPG, with one big middle finger in the form of timer. Freaking timer in an ARPG game. I spent 20 on Chaos Ring 3 and will gladly do the same for Torchlight, but no they have to implement freaking timer in. That's it I'm out
