I don't think the loot "drops" like in Torchlight on PC/Mac where it drops and you can equip them at once. From the shots, it seems like you get all loot after clearing the level ie at the end. Then you can equip and/or change items prior to a quest/mission. I'm not sure but that's how i interpreted it based on the screenshots
Still never played and have no idea what to expect bar what I've seen about this mobile one. I'm interested and hoping it's better and less money grabbing that DH 5
I've logged 600 hours into d3 and about 150 into torchlight 2. Excited to see what this brings to the table. Eli, let's be serious. Doesn't everyone have the right to be wary of f2p? Especially games that involve loot. The market has created a sigma for f2p. 98% of the time it's sickening. In other news. That new dungeon game that's coming out and has a thread in the "upcoming" is charging 160,000$ to be vip15. Sweet. This game has the potential to be a classic on the iOS. Especially since DH5 didn't turn out how I thought it would.
This article is a couple weeks old, but it looks like the stamina system has been removed from the game and the IAP will be for accelerating gameplay. Anyway, wanted to pass the information along. http://www.droidgamers.com/index.php/game-news/android-game-news/9584-gamescom-2015-hands-on-with-torchlight-mobile-with-some-big-changes-to-the-game-no-stamina-system
It is not necessary to remove the energy system completely from certain online fps like modern combat or dungeon crawlers like marvel future fight/taichi panda because when you play for too long in these kinds of games you get bored quickly. It's just it MUST be much, much, much shorter - the playing time>the waiting time or we should have an ability to remove it completely via IAP.
So, this is what was keeping them from releasing the Mac port for over two years, after they took everyone's preorder money, and delivered nothing but empty promises and radio silence. Never again, Runic. Never.
Idk how i feel about this now. It looks and plays just like taichi panda. If I wanted that, I would just play taichi panda . I like taichi panda, but was hoping for something more.
T2 was a classic. I loved it to death. After completing it with my level 100 engineer about 100 times it became a game of finding better weapons and armour. I don't imagine FTP version to be very generous in that regard. I so wished they would port the premium version. Oh well, hopefully the departure of the two original creators who left Runic some time ago will not have massive detrimental effect on the quality of the game. We'll just have to wait and see.
Judging from the video, it looks like the areas are mission based and goes like: go to town, get new quest, go to a relatively small area, kill boss, get drops, return to town, get new quest, rinse and repeat. Kind of a disappointment for me, I thought it would be more open world like in TL2. Oh well, at least Titan Quest is still coming
Game looks amazing! On a Taichi panda note. They are charging 200$ for mounts. They hyped everyone up for weeks and said HA GIMME 200$ for em. Why most hate f2p.
You're joking... I was really looking forward to this but I can't imagine what the other IAP will be like..
Is this game even coming out? News and information has been zilch. I was definitely less excited when I heard about the F2P stamina system Even less excited with no news on development Now looking forward to other games. How to kill hype in a few short steps - by Torchlight Mobile
Hopefully they do it right and if not I'll just go back to Vainglory or something else on my iPad or laptop.
