      For those wondering, this project has been put on hold, pending more developers to help and the support of the site admins. I need a web developer primarily, and of course I can't do anything without the admins' support.

      You can get a infraction or even banned for asking for bets testing.

      Can one of the TA folks let me know/ PM me how the back-end of the site works?/ What system is used to post new stories etc?

      Just take a look at the page source. The main site is based on WordPress. The forums are vBulletin.

      They probably have some custom plugins too.

      We are in the process of developing our own app please spend time doing something more productive. :)
