This probably isn't a completely accurate list since naming the top 10 games of the past year is an insanely difficult task, especially since it felt like we had twice as many releases this year as we did in 2010. There are just too many games I haven't gotten around to playing as well. Hell, naming the top 50 would be hard. Best I could come up with though.
