Technically it would be, if one person created 62 accounts. That'd take too much effort for most people though!
Yea, unless your the developer and you REALLY want the award to sell more copies, which I highly doubt is the case, than you really do have no life and I feel sorry for you. And Jetpack Joyride is only down by 9 with 11 hours left.....
2 more ppl voted for Junk Jack, so it is now a deficit of 11. I could care less which one wins, SAS is my choice. All 3 awesome games.
I finally voted - I figured if I didn't do it now I might not get a chance and the poll would close. Probably people are watching so closely at this point they know exactly what I voted for so it matters not if I say. It's New Year's eve folks - go celebrate and stop refreshing the site! Happy New Year everyone
After careful deliberation I ended up voting Battleheart... Also, if Jetpack Joyride actually wins, I would be very sad. Cant say I'd be surprised though...
and why people keep voting for the non game that is sword and sworcery is beyond me, must be the cool hipster thing to do. I get it you like the art and the music cuz its oh so retro, but imo the game is terrible.
I actually was going to add one to the game guide 2011 I made, but I decided not to. There are sooo many great indie devs that I came across this year that might get over looked. Also, it's one of the more touchy categories. If you do one I'll participate, but I didn't want to do it.
I wouldn't. You will surely miss one (Or they will think the winner is rigged) and you will never hear then end of it.....
Lol I was gonna do nominations, 1 per person, then tally them up at the end of new years day. So can't be rigged
Rigged. Such a loaded word. Another word about 0 posters - again, it is their join date that matters. Last week's poll of the week people were upset someone voted who had 0 posts. Turned out they had been here for several months, and were active in the MMO forum whose posts don't count toward the post count. They were actually more active and more veteran than some of the active newbies. Post count does not matter at all. Nominating and voting for games in one thing, but voting for a developer is bound to create hard feelings since that is their livelihood in my opinion. And voting in a day? How much of a cross section of the community might you get in one day - a holiday no less? My opinion is to leave it alone but that is just me.
With just 5 hours left in the poll, I think it's safe to declare that Junk Jack is the 2011 GOTY, with Jetpack Joyride as runner-up and Superbrothers: Sword and Sworcery EP snatching 3rd place.
