Trenches: The Game to End All Games *Official Thread*

I think this is a stupid way to try and build hype for a game, if your not going to say anything then then don't say anything

its going to be like the above game. I just KNOW it.

whre you send troops from one side of the field to the other, and you can put them in trenches. No cereally I bet its this.

I already have a feeling this game won't live up to any of its hype if it has to go with a title like that.

 

it is based on what world war one was called "the war to end all wars" clearly that didn't live up to the hype it had now did it lol it don't think it was trying to build hype at all

Something like minigore

 

it's going to be a game where you have to guide your squad through a maze of trenches from point a to b from one side of the screen to the other and you have to avoid enemy detection

or

a tower defense with the trenches making it a fixed path game

 

For some reason, this game just screams out "line drawing game."

So I'm guessing it's a line-drawing game where you draw lines to direct men to kill other men under trenches?

 

I too am getting a 33rd Division line-drawing vibe, but I think there could be some tower defnese type aspects as well. Then again perhaps a cool dual-stick shooter. I don't know, but I love the graphics!


Final answer...a cool game with stylistic graphics where you get to beat the snot out of Nazis!

You're OBVIOUSLY the messenger boy running behind the front line trenches sending messages to various bunkers.

Oh and you're competing with running against the german messenger

 

is it similiar to "grunts" by freeverse?

 

I think it will be a 2D or 3D First Person or Third Person shooter

it has to be in WW II because the guy have beards like hitler, who began WW II.

 

except the dev in his post said it is a game about the great war which is what the name originally was for WW1

 

I think this game is similar to Warfare 1917: you play in WW1 (or maybe WW2) and the objective is to get more land, either by killing the enemies or by making their morale low, so they surrender. You can use trenches and there are many soldier types: rifleman, machine gun, sniper. You can upgrade your soldiers so they get better. You also have the possibility to ask for air support.
