First hint: It is a 2D game. Also: It is a WWI setting, not WWII. (The Mustache is for artistic value, not realistic representation.)

Updated the first post with our "hint" section. These will be general hints at the type of game and gameplay that Trenches has until we "fully" announce the game. To those who are suspicious, yes, this is a teaser thread of things to come and to gain interest for when we announce the game.
Warfare 1917/1944 or a top down trench shooter/2D side scroller. Is it anything like that 1917 flash game?
I'm guessing a risk-type game except you have an HQ which are the trenches and this is where you choose cards (for upgrades or units). Maybe when you attack another place there is an animation of the battle. My guess: Risk Type Game
My guess is some sort of Coastal Defense type game where your guys are in trenches and you have to fight off waves of enemies. Tower defense type, but maybe with a twist perhaps.
A lot of these are great guesses and maybe some are 'very' close... Sadly, I cannot reveal TOO much right now, as we don't want to alert the jerries of any of our attack plans.
We will be updating this thread/forum with new and inciteful information that you'll only be able to find by scanning the threads, i.e. they won't be revealed in the original posts.
First thing to hit my mind was warfare 1917 and 1947 aswell. Guess it'll be a warfare 1917/1947 inspired game with a twist of humor, something about adding groups of enemies into lanes. Great artwork, i love the style of it. (Actually they haven't decided which sort of game, and just uploaded some pics. so we could figure out a game for em )
