Hi, i'm Ell, an English student. I was wondering if you could answer a quick question? Please only answer if you're a UK student, I want answers to be as legit as possible. So, here it is: If you recieve EMA, no matter how much or how little, do you honestly spend it on travel to college, dinners, college books and other educational needs? If not, what do you spend it on? I know of people who recieve £30 EMA per week and spend a total of £0 on college/ college needs. It all gets spent on a friday night. There's nothing wrong with going out, or enjoying ones-self, but sacrificing tax payers money to get drunk is unfair. Like I said above, please only reply if you are a student, studying in the UK. Thanks, Ell
Ive been saving mine up and recently ive got my £100.00 bonus but lately ive been buying loads of DVDs, Applications, FL studio 9 and i got a new phone. I get dinner money given to me and i end up with over 40.00 a week. 30.00 EMA and 13.00 dinner money a week even though im only in 3 days. So far in my bank i have over 687.00 pound wich is quite alot but ive been saving other money too including my bonus... I do Motor vechicle on mondays, tuesdays and thursdays.......... To be honest i wouldn't spend the only money i get in a week on college things, you get that money for learning not so you can spend it on things to do with college, if you had a job then yeah but it's hard for a 17 year old to get a job. Also people have to save for driving tests wich cost loads they also have to get there provisional and then they have to buy a car. So for the 2 or more years your in college you may aswell spend it on something you want to get you ready for the future...............................................................................
