I'm getting ready for my road trip and went to download Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince from iTunes, but it's not showing up at all. Did they take it down? I swear it was on there a couple hours ago... I was pretty sure I thought "Hm, that's strange. Half-Blood Prince is $20, where the other Harry Potter films are all $10." Am I going crazy?
if this is the latest movie on the movie Chanel now i tried to watch it.. made it half way and had to turn it off. chris.
Eh the movie was pretty good I thought, it was the most accurate adaptation to date anyway. The obvious problem with it was how badly they screwed up the confrontation between Snape and Harry
Yeah, that was the high point in the book. Supposably the climatic scene. In the movie, the entire thing was luke warm excitement-wise. There wasn't really any major central occurrence like the Chamber of Secrets, or breaking Sirius out of Azkaban... or something to do with Sirius. I remember a Hippogriff. Everything else is fuzzy.
Yep it was the big reveal, it was supposed to be a massive heated argument, full of fury, but instead they decided to dial it down to this pathetic icy temper thing that was seriously lame. Possible spoilers ahead I'm worried something similar is happening in Deathly Hallows, in the trailer there's a scene with Harry and Voldemort, it looks like their duelling in some ruins (Hogwarts?). If it's supposed to be their final battle, why are they not in the Great Hall and why is there not a crowd around them? Would completely ruin the dynamic of that scene.
So anyways, I have read all the books and love all the movies, especially the sixth one. No need to try and make me think it sucks, because in my mind it doesn't. Half-Blood Prince is arguably the most technically-impressive and well-made of the Harry Potter series (of movies). The book was better, for sure. The movie had too heavy of a focus on the romance, and didn't spend nearly enough time on Horcruxes. The tone of overall darkness from the book was lost somewhat in the translation to the film, but I view the movies and books as completely separate entities; same with every book-to-movie adaptation. It was a very well-made Harry Potter film, probably my favorite of the series, and I adore it so. As such, I made this topic expressing my confusion over its absence from iTunes. It's apparent nobody knows why, or cares to elaborate on what happened, though, so I shall abandon the topic. If anyone wants to give a serious answer, you may PM me.
Holy crap just get on with the subject! Stop talking non-sense >_> I have no idea what happened to the movie since I don't purchase movies on iTunes :O... If you really want to watch it, you could buy the movie at Walmart or something, then use Handbrake (helps you create a video file for the iPod) so you could watch it.
