I just want to let everyone know that I just read my first ever sheet of music and was able to play it on the guitar, wohoo!
Actually, i've been playing guitar casually for about 15 years now. The kind of music I want to play though, I need classical training for. So that's what I'm doing now I have this idea of being the CityBard! where I sit on trains, in alley ways, wherever and sing bardic songs to people to cheer them up and spread happiness. Eventually I know I'll run into other CityBards and maybe we can take the city by storm spreading the music. I live in a very musical house, my wife has 2 masters as far as music goes.
Ahhh, very nice! I started guitar when I was 6 and took lessons for over 5 years. Unfortunately, due to school work, I had to drop the lessons but have been playing fine on my own for the last few years. I have been playing upright and bass guitar for over 7 years now.
I always had a steel string acoustic guitar, my master sold me his student guitar that he had all the way through high school, it's got some battle scars, but is in great condition. I love classical guitar way more, it's more personal, organic in a way and the sound is so pure. So much to remember too, sit up straight, hold your hands this way, don't bend your knuckles, don't push with your thumb, so much more.
haha, i just found this image that I did back in NOV one night when my wife and I were coming up with a very cool game. It was a pretty simple concept, who knows, might even develop it one day. Just thought i'd share since I stumbled across it.
This thread brings new meaning to "Off-Topic". This is just random, not actual conversations. I like it. Now as long as kijib doesn't come.....
