tell me more, is it an FPS? RPG or FPS RPG? Or a racing game? Is it a sandboxy world? Or linear with invisible walls? What do you do? Shoot shit?
Its a cover based 3rd person adventure/shooter. You are a treasure hunter looking for the lost fleet of Marco Polo. You are also confronted by other people looking for the treasure and they want to kill you. The shooter part of the game is pretty strategic. You cant jump out in the middle of the open because you cant survive many bullets. Using cover is key. There is also some puzzles you need to solve and 101 different treasure that can be collected throughout the levels. All of this is backed with an excelent story and a movie feel that will never leave you bored.
I love the idea of being a brute and rushing into the fray taking bullets and ripping my enemies to shreds once I reach them, this sounds more thiefesque to me though which I also enjoyed.
In the mission where you steal from a museum and take Marco Polo's treasure housed inside what looks like a genie's lamp, you feel exactly like a thief.
Ok, so I got WiFi a couple days ago and I LOVE the multiplayer! It's freakin awesome! So I have too PSN Id's, but it won't let me log into the hitch1000 one. It says something about logging on someone elses email. Add me- Huss101
I think he means Thief as in 'Thief' the game franchise, or at least that's how I interpreted it. But anyway, it is a linear third person cover-based shooter that takes graphics as its main selling point. It has online co-op and competitive multiplayer, and a campaign that lasts ~8 hours.
asdfghjkl; I REALLY wanna play Uncharted 2. It's sitting here on my desk, unopened, plastic wrapping and all. But I can't bring myself to do it. I just can't. I'll never forgive myself if I don't play the first one first, even if it's not necessary.
You dont need to play the first one at all to understand it at all. I went straight to the second one and there is absolutly no reference to the first one. It only gives you more background information about Nate, Sully, and Elena. Which is not needed at all.

I was under the impression they were MP only... now I think about it I'm not sure why I thought that considering there are a bunch of SP skins in the game already. So... they work in single player right?
The demo has just come to PS3, incase anyone wants to try it out. Great game, definitely worth the purchase
Grr..... Zeke. I love infamous. The second is gonna be AMAZING! I hope they have more to uncharted than just skin packs in the future though. Wait. Wait! Are the skin packs also usable in multiplayer? That'd be sweet!
