Here's another innovative game: Power Pool I'm playing the HD iPad version. It's inspired by pool, but has powerups, pinball effects, explosions, and no opponents than yourself. It's really it's own unique game. Never seen anything quite like it.

Yeah, Undead Attack is freakin' awesome. I'm not even that big of a fan of pinball or TD games, but the combo here is sweet.

Can't put down Forget-Me-Not. Simply one of the coolest games I've ever played. A personal instant classic. Yes, I'm in deep love.
Angry Bird ripped off the gameplay from "Crush the Castle". Tiny Wings also copied the gameplay from "Wavespark". Reckless Racing was clearly inspired by K-Rally. I don't know about the other two, but I wouldn't call the three I mentioned original.
The problem is the original poster not being specific enough about his idea of "unique". Unique could mean a new and inventive twist on an old genre or a brand new genre alltogether. The latter being much rarer obviously but perhaps more worthwhile for a few people hunting down new experiences.
Very good thread... what we really need are creative games, with the heaps of junk coming out. Not really a game, but I found Ocarina very creative.
Another highly creative and innovative game I'm currently being blown away by is Maze Raider. I'm playing the HD iPad version, but there's an iPhone version you can try for free. Check out the instructional video it comes with to be instantly amazed at what the game has to offer. Goes way beyond any normal maze, includes bombs, powerups, enemies, doors, teleportation, endless mazes... something different for sure!
I asked people to share games that are unique, innovative and creative. Seems pretty clear to me. And we've had some good responses which have helped me (and others) make purchases. This thread is to identify games which are special by virtue of being unlike other games. As someone mentioned, it's good if they're fun too. Help us uncover the hidden gems in the app store.

fastar is an an awesome casual pick up and play game . It's not as good as tilt to live (as a casual game) but good enough for pick up and play every now and then . Sadly when it was free , the reviews that came in were terrible despite it being a good game . Too bad Aerox isn't available in HD for the iPad (or universal), I'd buy it if it was. I might give Infinight a try though, looks interesting.
