Hmmmm nothing for me personally so far, might be the first wednesday in ages where i dont buy one game. Cant complain, brilliant week last week!
Mm-hmm, I was looking at the games this week, but not only has nothing amazing caught my eye thus far, nobody really seems to be interested in the games that have come out. Seems like last week's new releases and updates (Elder Sign, woo!), and the new-look FFT are probably going to occupy people more than the new games will.
9th Dawn is on iOS! Previously an Android exclusive, 9th Dawn is an open world RPG in 2D (Ultima style). I'm surprised to see it just pop up with no announcements or fanfare but I consider it big news. +1 to looking for Quadropus Rampage; according to AppZap it's not on New Zealand App Store yet but maybe they will do a simultaneous worldwide release (?).
Hopefully Quadropus Rampage is still landing tonight as I am really looking forward to that. Also Cubemen 2, Kingdom Rush Frontiers HD and 9th Dawn will be grabs tonight. My only problem is that with last weeks sweep of great releases I need to find space! KoTOR and Hammer Quest are never leaving my iPad though, they will stay right next to Baldur's Gate as games that will have long stays on my iPad!
HOLY CRAP!!The Deus EX game on the front page looks amazing!!!With the redo of FF:Tactics and this new game comming out,I'm starting to love you again Square/Enix!! Finally a DeusEx on IOS!!Well hope you give us a Vagrant story on retina next,hehe..
Its almost schizophrenic a view for me of then as a publisher. Honestly, I never give S/E credit for their Eidos, IO Interactive or Crystal Dynamics owned developer studios stuff, as to me I am just glad they flip the bill and keep a hands-off approach toward anything that those studios develops, which is the best business decision Square/Enix has done. It has allowed Eidos and their accompanying European bought studios to put out great titles. Eidos has always been a great studio regardless of who was paying the bill, hence why I don't throw credit S/E's way for their games. Sure, I am biased, but when it comes toSquare Enix in house stuff, I have been less than satisfied as compared to their purchased European developing studios. Now if only we could get a Thief title for iOS devices as well... I will agree though, that a port of Vagrant Story would be nice... But then again that's all the S/E Japanese and Chinese development studios have been good for lately, is memory lane redux.
Hehe, well that's an interesting point of view...If this game gets very successful as I predict it will be,a thief title is a no-brainer...Assuming its not already in development..Btw the Japanese studio did game us the chaos rings series which I'm happy with.. I think all of this great news are coming to full circle due to the smashing success of the two hard core games last week..It's proven that there is a market for serious games on the platform..
No Buddy & Me yet? Hope it comes at midnight US time... If not its going to be disappointing... Want it like crazy since I saw it a while ago on PocketGamer.
Cubemen 2! 9th Dawn Kingdom Rush Frontiers Another great week. Kinetic Damage looks pretty good too. Came out last night.
I've picked 9th Dawn Scurby Scallywags Quadropus Rampage Kingdom Rush Frontiers Sparkle 2 Roundhouse Titan I'd really HATE more surprise releases at midnight in USA...
I sure hope Scurvy Scallywags makes it out, but for some alternative match 3 goodness check out the newly released Puzzle Blade (iPad only, free). I am really digging it and it is sure to be overlooked as there was no pre-release hype for it. Besides SS, I plan on getting Bridgy Jones for sure. Maybe also Quadropus Rampage.
Cubemen 2 9th Dawn Kingdom Rush Frontiers Scurvy Scallawags Quadropus Rampage (if it makes it out) Those will be in my digital shopping bag tonight!
Butterscotch Shenanigans seem to confirm Quadropus Rampage will be coming June 6th on their Twitter feed. Four hours ago they tweeted about a gameplay video and said "Quadropus Rampage. It will be surprising." I can't access the full information due to work filters but that looks promising.
Here's what i have to say on the upcoming game Spiral, by Pixel Hero games: So even on a pre-release level, i have to say this is highly recommended!
