It's not far fetched to assume that both Burn the rope and Cut the Rope were being developed at roughly the same time, given that their release dates were within 2 months of one another and the names were in place long before any of us had seen the first preview of them, so that's not a very good analogy. Whenever I see a game with a familiar idea in it (the rope, doodle, Birds), I avoid it. It may be the best game ever made, but if the dev can't think of a better title other than something that hasn't been used before I'm not interested. I'm not saying the name isn't perfect for this game, but at this point no matter what you say, it's still going to sound like a copycat name, whether you like it or not.
