@squarezero: If you see the 3rd screenshot, you'd see there are more details in lighting, character's model and other objects. Look at the fog and highlight on his leather jacket, the details on his hat, etc. And in the 2nd screenshot you can see how that thing on the left, the moon and his sword are very smooth and detailed. The last screenshot seems like the only one 'untouched'. The sword on his back is nowhere as smooth. Finally, those are not the original screenshots http://www.pocketgamer.co.uk/r/iPhone/Vampire+Origins/news.asp?c=12785
I see your point. I always assumed that those early screenshots were taken directly from the Mac emulator and not from an iPhone screen. A better way to compare the development is to check out the two videos, though that's also compromised by the fact that the new video has been upscaled. It will be interesting to see whether they're including any specific 3Gs visual features, such as dynamic lighting. I guess I would be pleasantly surprised; in my view, however, this looks great as is.
Chillingo do you have an update for this game? That is a very long three weeks from 1/19 through 2/23. I thought this was to be released in early Feb and we are 6 days almost into March. I'm really stoked and looking forward to playing this game
Pirate's Gold hasn't been abandoned. The submission is really close, game is actually ready to be relased...

According to iFanzine, Vampire Origins has been submitted to Apple. Plus, new gameplay video: Subscribe to the TouchArcade YouTube channel In other news, first snowball fight takes place in Hell.
Ign: Reports that the game has only three stages of story mode and a mode for survival. Guess we will all beat this game in 20 mins or less.
No -- radchad1 and I read report in other iPhone gaming sites, and decided to pass along the information. The game has been submitted to Apple; a new trailer has been released. @radchad1: it's tough to say what "three stages" actually means. The video shows more than three environments, so for all we know it's a fairly long game.
