Another vote for Collada support, please - that could make this a wonderfully useful tool for working with Second Life meshes, as and when mesh goes live on the main grid.
In case you didn't see it yet: http://www.macworld.com/article/157933/2011/02/vertostudio3d.html?lsrc=rss_main Congrats!
This is amazing. You pull out everything all by yourself, alone? Jesus... Few questions. Did you start the code base from complete scratch? if so what was the biggest huddle you have to climb over? I worked quite a while to modify an open source 3D game engine myself, and the task went on and on endlessly. Atm, I'm thinking I'd better to start building my own from scratch.
When I saw that macworld covered it, I was blown away. #11 productivity app is higher than I ever thought it would get. The people at prmac did an amazing job. I should totally give them a positive testimonial. Stkim1, the project was started from scratch and took me 5 months of almost daily contribution. It went fast for me because of my previous experience bulding a 3D editor for the PC (http://ltsword.allegronetwork.com/crossfire/editor.php). There were ALOT of hurdles due to OpenGL ES's limited API and iPads slow CPU. I had to do some very unusual things to get the app to behave and perform well on the device.
JUST discovered this today, (after finally getting my iPad 2) it seems fantastic considering it's on an iPad. One question, does it just support imported models that have been exported as triangles? I imported a model as quads and it was all messed up (for lack of a better phrase), but when i imported it as tris all was fine...
Cartoons and Quads! This app looks great! I have yet to download as the main feature I am looking for is the ability to model cartoon style characters. Will this app allow me to do that? Also I prefer working with quads, is that in the pipeline? Kind thanks!
