And I thought this wasn't gonna be a rail shooter. Man why can't they just make a game with no rail what so ever and just be free roam zombie game like Dead Island Riptide on the iOS?
Yeah, that second video is a big improvement. I wish they'd shown us that first. What's all this moaning about rails? I only skimmed the video, but I wouldn't call a tap-to-move control sceme "on rails". It's a far cry from House of the Dead.
Well based on that gameplay vid, I think the edge goes to 2013 infected wars. Hopefully infected wars will release soon. I have to admit after watching that vid, nothing stood out, the graphics are nice but the game is just "meh" I'm pretty disappointed.
We are very close Johnny! Putting in another full weekend to tighten up things, and I think you guys are going to love it!
i was expecting a lot from the devs of horn!! seriously i really liked that game not because of the "intuitive" controls!! actually i think it would have been perfect with a d pad!! i mean....... you cant shoot unless there s an enemy!! seriously who still does this kind of games?c'mon!!!!
Controls gameloft might be the worst company when it comes to freemium, good stories, original games or whatever..... they still will always have the best control shemes on ios. i m just pissed off because the fact that all those "new ios gamers" suck that much with virtual pads is ruining a lot of potentially decent ios games like: the drowning, morning star (not out yet), world war z, horn....... i m forgetting a lot but thats because i m so pissed of right now!!! at least make many optional control schemes!!!
I don't mind the controls. It's the repetitive nature of the gameplay that's irking me and ultimately makes this just another cash-in movie tie-in game.
Other than the 2 big FPS titles, i dont know any Gameloft game with a good story. Other than that, i agree with the Gameloft titles' spot-on controls. As far as the IGN World War Z video goes, im surprised no one mentioned Dark Meadow which is, not surprisingly also from Phosphor. This game is basically Dark Meadow but instead of the 1v1 battles, War Z has a shooting gallery. Also, instead of tapping on fixed spots to move to like in DM, here you can tap anywhere to move in that spot. These changes still dont change the fact that it's the DM structure. I wont be surprised if they're the same engine either. War Z does look good, sound good, but the gameplay feels a little lacking. I have a feeling Dark Meadow left me more satisfied than War Z will... But of course, i'll be picking War Z up and give it a shot when it hits the appstore.
Thing is... It's easy to connect the dots when... 1. You know that it's from Phosphor 2. You've played Dark Meadow 3. You've watched the video Im still reserving final judgment though, which is why i said im still getting the game to see how it will really turn out for me. But those three points i mentioned is already telling me a lot about War Z. In order for me to be surprised a little, i only watched the first few seconds of the video. I do hope my assumptions are wrong, but my inner child tells me i may be right.
