I'm currently stuck on Act 8-4 Veteran. Any tips? This is what I got: Sanguinary guard (assault) 2 Ultramarine champions (devastator and tactical) 2 Space Wolves champions (assault and tactical) A large number of items and weapons, almost all fully skilled but 1 slot per marine (I'm starting to think the slots are even more important than many skills now). Right now as items I use a +4 AP stimpack, a x2 damage to big ones, +60 crit, the hunker down thing and that item that damage you every turn for 5% but you recover 20% each kill. The critical moment in the mission is when the two damn Hive Guards appear with those huge plasma cannons. I have to hide because they always insta kill everyone in sight when charged. Meanwhile ordes of xenos come out...plus 2 pyros and, last but not least, those damn crab like monsters with 90% damage mitigation. I refuse to grind and I had some very tense moments in the last two days, but I'm starting to hate those 2100HP guards with a passion. Are those weaker from the sides? Any tip would be appreciated!!!
@RodeoMatthew I'd also be interested in an answer to this if possible? It does clearly state that it's passive in the description, but it is definitely a 1 time use in game...
@Pitta Make sure you have 5 AP, the cleave skill on the Sanguinary guard and preferably a powerfist, even it means a bit of grinding: I've been grinding A7M1 as it hands out T4 powerfists: I have four now That powerfist does 435 damage, and the cleave skill will cause 2 free hits: That should enable you to kill them quickly. Do you have any of those tier 2 blood angel purity seals? That will increase the odds of a crit and the crit damage, so one of those combined with the above weapon will probably one-shot them.
Unfortunately I do not have cleave yet, nor 5 APs...I was about to get it in this mission before I died (2 days ago ) I have SEVERAL tier 3 powerfists....I guess they are about 230 max in damage. To be honest I do not want to grind...first I find it boring, second I was stuck already on other parts then I finally managed them...I would prefer to play the game 'as is' without resorting to grinding. That's why I have yet to buy a pack...I'll do that after I complete the game on heroic (but just to support Rodeo, I do not feel I need those packs). I have MANY purity seals...I never really looked into them...thanks for the tip..I'll check them later. Thanks!!!
@Pitta I find stun grenades and the grav gun very useful against those big suckers (especially the Carnifex). Stun them and get one safe turn to finish them off!
I do not have stun grenades but actually grav guns where my in my to-do list for tonight At least stunned they won't have the supercharging plasma. So many possibilities anyway...that's why I do not want to grind...I feel I can do it with what I get...that's why I love this game so much. (But Dear Emperor, a Lone Wolf would be appreciated nonetheless).
I've got a T4 Narthecium the first ever pack that I opened, bought with RP. I was in act 1 normal, I still don't have an apothecary to equip that So... Yes, it is realistic
There's no "Buy RodeoMatthew a Beer" button in the app, but I think I found an acceptable workaround.
I found grav guns excellent against everything except the carnifex as they have 6 ap to start with and no matter how many times you shoot them you will only ever deduct 2 ap in total: a 4ap carnifex will still kill you
@rodeoMatthew - any plans to allowing selling multiple items at once? Selling is so slow and freezes up every 4-5 items sold.
