Well, it does have a $.99 IAP, but you can play a good chunk of the game for free. The thread for the game has some good and thorough reviews -- it's been compared with Demon Souls (conceptually, anyway), though I can't vouch for that since I haven't played DS. I picked it up thinking it would be a throw-away title and found myself playing it non-stop for almost an hour.
Oh so there is iAP, goody. Didn't even bother downloading it since generally free games = trash in my opinion. Downloading now heheh. Probably going to grab the iAP before trying it out. Thanks!
DH1 and DH2 are extremely repetitive, overly simple, and how is it "hack and slash"? I'm pretty sure all you do is just tap on the enemy once and the character starts attacking it automatically until it dies. Some real hack and slash games: - Sad Princess: linear hack and slash similar to Twin Blades, you can purchase weapons, items, and even pets, and level up your pets! Very high replay value since there are 6 pets to train up to level 61, total gameplay is at least 10 hours - Twin Blades: gameplay is too simple, but bosses are ridiculously hard, Sad Princess is better - Samurai I and II: a hack and slash game that actually takes a bit of skill to play instead of mashing buttons In other words it's very good
I read the first page and then the last page. I hope someone has mentioned Samurai way of the warrior and samurai II: Vengeance! Swipe Controls of Samurai WoW can be a little difficult for some people. That is changed to virtual button controls in Samurai II which I think people liked better. Eitherways, the artwork of the game is simply..... SUPERB. It is one of the best looking games out there with a solid gameplay as far as hack-n-slash is concerned. Edit: Didn't notice November had mentioned Samurai
Revolt is good... i haven't played hero of sparta and when i played Dungeon Hunter 2 it had no sound. There's no blood in Revolt tho, because you're killing machines. But it's fun. http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/revolt/id399345188?mt=8
How can one one mention Spider-Man? I think that's probably is the best of all the games mentioned. DH2 i like too but it got really really boring fast - maybe because it was too easy
